VOB to AVI

Been struggling at this for ages so it's time to ask :P

I just want a simple application to convert .VOB files to simple Xvid .AVIs - I don't want to run hundreds of pieces of software to do this and merge audio/video files. Just select the file and convert.

Preferably free but if you can point me in the direction of working pirate copies I'll happily use them.

While it's much appreciated if you Google for answers etc, I have spent lots of time doing so and can't find a simple enough program, so only post if you've used the software thanks :)
