I'm looking for a monitor that I would be able to use for gaming. I'm looking to use it for consoles but I want to know if I also would be able to use it with my PC. I've heard that gaming monitors have faster response rates than normal televisions and I'm all about gaming so I thought it would be in my best interest to upgrade. I'm currently using a 32'' Panasonic HD TV which is good but in my opinion too big for me. I'm willing to take suggestions for a monitor I'd be able to use. The monitor needs to have a HD component input as my capture card only accepts component and I dont have enough money at the moment for a capture card that supports HDMI. The price range is about £200-300 and as for size around 20-22''. Many thanks.

I have a Dell SP2309W 23" monitor which I think was around £180 - £220 (I forget), IMO It's pretty decent, 2048x1152 resolution, I have my connections set up like this; audio in (PC), audio out (to speakers), HDMI (PS3), DVI (PC) and VGA (360). Has a 2ms response time, 80,000:1 contrast ratio, 16:9 aspect ratio and has a nice tilt/height stand. Would recommend it.

I need component. Will the VGA port allow me to?
