I don't understand how you would have a dog around a one year old, it stinks of irresponsibility, especially if said dog isn't trained or used to children.

Doesnt matter. Most dogs are pure evil, especially yours.

not really, it's just like humans killing.
People have to realize they are animals just like any other wild thing. :/ sad story.

That's quite bad, you shouldn't leave dogs with a one-year-old.
But still, that has no reason to hate dogs. Not all dogs are like that.
Most dogs are not pure evil at all! It is most unfortunate that this has happened, but there are two people to blame here:
a) The parents of the child. I'd never leave a 1 year old with a dog capable of causing any damage, let alone capable of killing someone.
b) The owner of the dog (if it's not the same person) for not keeping their dog under control.
You can't blame the dog, if they are not trained properly, natural instinct takes over.

You shouldn't dislike dogs because of attacks like that. They're quite rare and very few dogs are like that. Some dogs are just poorly trained, thus are voilent, some breeds are natural fighters but that's because in the past humans have trained them for fighting, etc - it all boils down to humans in the end :P!
Very irresponsible parents though - wouldn't leave a one-year-old with a dog, especially if it was violent.

Apparently it was some sort of Mastiff dog, which are quite large, so it wouldn't have taken much to kill a one year old. It just stinks that the dog gets blamed for what is a natural instinct and a lack of control by the owner and parents of the child.

You can't generalise like that - my dog is so soft he would only hurt somebody if they were hurting him. It's like saying all humans (or most) are brutal murderers or whatever, just because a few are like that.
Sad what happened.

Yeah I think hating all dogs because one of them killed a child is like saying you hate all Muslims because some were terrorists.
I hate dogs also though, just because they need so much attention, and I hate when they jump up at you and bark.

And to all of you asking me not to generalise, in my whole life time, I have only met 1 nice dog. I have been chased by so many dogs that I hate every single one of them. Believe me, being chased by dogs once is worse enough. Being chased by them like 4 times makes you wanna kill them all.
If I am walking and I see a dog is further up the road and the road is kind of empty, I will most likely walk back and take a different route. Thats how scared I am of them :P.

Dogs pure evil? That's pathetic. The owners are completely to blame for the personality of their pets.

I'll go ahead and ask you not to generalise, I've never seen a nasty dog yet I've seen upwards of 50.
Take Thursday for example, I was in pets at home buying some vitalin for my dog, there was this collie in there and I fussed it, it went all daft and rolled over onto its back.
I've met dogs that my dog literally ran underneath that are friendly to tiny little things that are super friendly. My mum's side of the family is dog centred and they have always been nice.
Dogs aren't nasty by nature, they're nasty because of the way they're brought up, just like children.

I have only said why I hate them. I have had those experiences when I was not even 10. Anyone who has done psychology here will understand if you frighten someone to death when they were very young, and do it multiple times, they become very scared of it. Hence if I see a dog on the road and the road is fully empty, I will probably change my route.

You past experiences doesn't mean all people are evil?
That's like saying you know a person that tried to blow people up on a bus, and because of him now all people are evil, they all want to kill you and you should never say hi to another person in your life.
It just doesn't work.

Listen, you dont know me and my experiences so you cant tell me what or what not to feel. You have also obviously never done psychology. You seem to think I like not liking dogs :S. Now only that, your example is simply stupid and I will explain that below.
Have you ever even chased by dogs who nearly killed you every time when you were 5 / 6 / 7 / 8 / 9? I doubt you have. But I have and it is scary as you are running for your life.
Most people who have done psychology will know of the Little Albert experiment. They repeatedly made him scared of rats etc when he was a baby. Even as an adult, he was scared of anything white and fluffy. Now don't tell me "it doesn't work" as its been proven it does and it has for me.
And the fact that some Muslims try and blow up planes etc leads of racism and people hating all Muslims shows exactly why your example is stupid.
So unless you have been in my shoes, dont try and pretend you know better because you don't.

So because one or two incidents like this occur a year makes you think all dogs are evil? oh alright then

I am starting to think either:
a) both of you are blind
b) both are dumb as hell
c) both
I will go for c. Why? Because I have said I know a nice dog. Secondly, I never said all dogs are evil. I said:
Doesnt matter. Most dogs are pure evil, especially yours.
Point proven.
But you're title is "this is why i hate dogs" which gives people the impression you hate all dogs for the reason you stated

Maybe they should stop being lazy and read the whole thread before making a post and looking like a moron.
I didn't realise disliking dogs was a crime. It obviously is on here ... either that or people just love arguments.
They said I said "all dogs are evil" which I never said. I dont like dogs, but I never said they are all evil. :S People really are thick.

Ofcourse your point was valid as when I walk on the road I have never had a white person shout racist remarks at me etc
and no one hates all muslims because a few blew up a plane. So yeah, ofcourse your point is valid :).
