How can i do this? I have a netbook with no CD drive and I can't get it to boot from usb for reason, get boot0: error or something like that. Can i just plug it into my pc over an ethernet cable and install that way?

No, i dont think you can, what about

1) external CD Reader
2) Take out the Hardrive , and plug it into another PC, Start up that PC, boot from Disk/USB then aim it at that hardrive?

It's hard to do, you need to setup a special server to host the files, probably not worth the effort.

I've done this many times using a Windows server, but the way you would have to do it is by using a TFTP server, and as MattFr said above, it's pretty hard to do for a first timer without a guide of some sort.

If I were you, I'd try and get a 2GB or more USB stick and install Windows XP off that using this guide: http://www.eeeguides.com/2007/11/installing-windows-xp-from-usb-thumb.html

You can easily fix the BOOT0 error, you just haven't done it right ;)

Thanks Tom, shall try that a bit later on ;D
Yeah I guessed that, I know it can't be that hard, i've done it before from a USB, just won't work this time around :(
