Do you know if this was only recently done? :O

I just watched him stack half of it - he used a mode bar, two hello furni chairs, a dance floor beamer, a tele and a roller. Only saw the last bit though.

He said you do not have to use the furniture he's using, he said he just doesn't have a lot. Haven't seen him do it yet though but he has a mode bar in the doorway (2 spaces!)

Edit:
Once he's got the mode bar in the doorway, literally anything seems to go in to it! (with rollers)

In the doorway he had a CD. with the cd in there, ANYTHING will go in, im currently trying to work out how to get a cd in there! xD

He didn't need the CD.
He said to me that once he'd done it he could put anything in there without the CD in there but he did NOT take the mode bar desk out. I'm trying to get a mode bar desk in the door :S

as with stacking, if you have a cd down on the floor you can 'slide' anything off a roller onto it.
this is how he got the teleport into the door, he put down a roller facing the door, put a tele on top of it, and because the cd was there it slid into the door.
idk why he had a mode bar, and i dont know how he got it (or the cd) in the doorway!

Lol when I watched him put the teleporter in the door, there was no cd or anything except a mode bar.
He told me he found out when he was bored :P

EDIT:
his clue to this is: 'you have to have good timing'

the cd was IN the mode bar (every now and again stacked furni 'flashes' and what was once hidden becomes visible)
(idk how to explain it >.< : if you have a chair stacked into a z shelf, every now and again the chair will flash and move 'outside' the z shelf so it is more visible, this is how i saw the cd)
i have no idea if that makes sense to anybody else..

If he did actually say "it's down to timing" or some other crap, that's **. In a thread identical to this like 2 months ago shenk established that if you have any piece of furni inside a doorway you can place anything inside it.
The things people said about needing a table item like a CD or a coin to roll things onto is perfectly correct when dealing with stacking inside the regular boundaries of a room. However, once outside, all you need is a piece of furni, not necessarily a table object and things will roll on. Seeing as rules don't seem to apply, you could tell him to put a chair in the doorway and one of two things will happen:
1. Either he will be able to roll something into the chair and put whatever else he wants in the door (not following regular properties of chairs)
2. Nothing will roll into the chair and he'll be stuck with a chair there permanently.

If it's still ongoing, someone suggest putting a chair in (you'll need to assertain that it's just a chair on it's own though, and not ontop of a CD).

This could have been done in the first stages of beta testing...?

It's difficult for me to guess how since I don't know how the spaces work in comparison to regular spaces. If they do work the same way then you could either:

Put a cd down in the door, then you should be able to just place something ontop of it. Although this probably wouldn't work since the way to put things in where there's furni already in the door seems to heavily rely on rolling.

If that didn't work you could try using the method used to make 3-space long bars and such like. You'd put an item like a cd onto a roller setup facing the doorway, then as the cd rolls, you'd merge a chair into it. Then when that rolls into the doorway, it 'resets' the hieght of anything you place on the cd. So before where it wouldn't let you place anything onto the cd, it should allow you to after doing all that. That's how I'd do it anyway but I say again, that's just my best guess.

Haha, took the words (quite liturally) from my mouth there!

Saw the thread title I was getting my fingers ready to type a lengthy paragraph on how it was done before, how it can't be done now but how you can create a similar illusion IF you ALREADY have ANY furniture in the doorway...

But yeah, you've pretty much done it for me! Thanks. :P

Yea, the guy who had done this wouldn't take the mode bar out of the doorway. He said because it was a pain getting it in.

Pain aka impossible - truely I'm afraid... if you checked his rooms FlatID you'd find it was pre v9 (when it was finally patched... although rotation into black was patched after this).

i'm guessing, since his account is from 02 that this was done way back when it was possible.
if he actually shows someone, or removes all furni from doorway, and redoes it i'll believe it but for now i do not.

I'm pretty sure that he had something in the door already from 2002 like Cornelius said and when whoever it was came it, they just caught the tail end of he adding to it, because once there is something in the door, it's my understanding that you can put anything in there...
