(cba with stupid flame "I BOUGHT MY PC FOR SUCH AND SUCH THIS IS A RIP OFF" - i make pc's for profit, i don't really give a *REMOVED* if you can build it cheaper. also this pc was actually quite a lot considering it's parts quality, you're getting a really good deal.)

I could build that for cheaper than £650 with the addition of a better case.
And your not using 'high quality parts' the PSU is worth £25. Budget PSUs arn't a good side.

Exact same parts, a hell of alot cheaper.

I know what you mean, that PSU is a bit on the crap side.

But I'd like to point out, he's selling computers for profit. Not value, profit. So of course he's gonna bump the price up a bit.

Exact same parts, a hell of alot cheaper.Luke... you go ahead and do that bro, I'll even tell you this - I got my parts from eBuyer too. £650 is a buy it now price for people who are willing to pay that much and want it shipping to them for the next morning. My starting bid is at £350.00, anyone could get the PC for £350.00 if they bid that. Your completely irellevant and pointless flame really does make you look like an idiot. Obviously with selling a new profit you're looking to making a profit from it, so why in the world would I sell it for the price I bought a PC at? Once you've finished fanny flapping, then I'll take your comments into consideration.

Fair doos; however, change the PSU.
And I think the one without logic is you, considering your language in the first post is barely going to help you sell it.

And Matt, I know what profit is thanks; don't need to read up on it 3 times to realize. Not everyone is the same I guess.

Are you two the same person?

This is a public forum, Luke can post whatever the hell he likes, deal with it.

You though, do not really "sell" this PC with the language you used in that post, deal with the facts.

Also, the CPU is old and a total rip off for what it is, the PSU is cheap and 4GB is peanuts nowadays.

Luke can post whatever he likes I 100% agree with that, whether or not we agree is up to us and you can't stop us from using our own opinion. And you're opinion is valid too, whether or not we decide to take it into our thoughts is again completely up to ourselves.

Good luck selling this machine, would look better with a better case though, i'd rather go the extra mile and put a few hundred more towards a gaming pc and get an alienware.

Put a core i5 in it with a different mobo, then a decent PSU (Corsair make good PSUs), then you could probably sell it for £750 (more if you overclock it a tad). You might want to consider adding features such as a Blu-Ray drive, or perhaps a card reader.

Oh, and I understand your trying to make a profit. But that PC is SO 2008.

I swear it is supposed to be the price plus 10% labour price extra normally. Which makes it like 580£ not 650£

Stephen!
22-04-2010, 01:33 PM
I don't understand some are saying that the computer is rubbish...

The Ripjaw RAM is incredible; very highly rated in the enthusiast computing world. The processor is fairly new and even better than mine at stock along with it being 45nm. Swapping it out for a Core i5 processor would be a waste of money since they perform very similarly without the need for an expensive socket 1156 motherboard needed with the i5. The i5 does not have hyperthreading which would make the "upgrade" useless. Graphics card and power supply aren't that great, but that doesn't really matter because nearly every manufacturer out there puts cheap PSU's in their machines.

Overall, for processing power and not gaming it is a very decent machine. For the price? Maybe not, but I'm not here to talk about the price as it really is none of my business on what he wants to charge for it.

I'll be 100% honest - I dont expect a sale from these forums at all because you always get the obvious flame which I expect, but it's always awful responses that are just funny to read. I only put it on here to get mass views for later promotion, aka can tell potential customers that I have had a lot of interest in this etc. And thank you Stephen, I appreciate you taking the time write that as it's exactly my view on this as well. And its up to consumers to voice when they think its too much, that's how the free market works. If you charge extortionate amounts of money for everything you'll always get negative press which creates pressure and ultimately a price reduction until it reaches a level that consumers are happy with and sales increase.

Sorry for my late reply, but I've been rolling on the floor laughing at you for a good half hour.

I love the fact that even though I defended your seemingly ridiculous price, you tell me I have no idea what I'm talking about.

I mean, what do I know? I mean, I've only been upgrading PCs for the past 3 years, and fixing them for a good 4 years, so of course, I don't have a clue what I'm talking about. What's a hard drive? I'm so stupid I forgot. :l

Everybody else is crying? You're the ONLY one doing any crying. All of the "ill-minded flame" is people posting truths that you simply do not want to here and so are regarding it as "..ill minded". I'm not going to search for an alienware for better specifications than the one that has been posted because I simply don't care. I would buy a computer from a trusted company and receive 100% of what I have asked for over someone's Ebay item any day.
