A sequel, Monsters, Inc. 2, was announced and is scheduled to be released on November 16 2012
I know its a long time from now, but I was really happy to hear this since Monsters, Inc. was my favourite disney film when I was younger and still is :D
So whos excited?
Don't get what they can do unless the company went into administation and they go on an adventure to find investors.
I also loved this movie, this will be a great sequel.
I don't like that Pixar is now churning out four sequels at once.
They will be great films, all Pixar films are FANTASTIC, but I would prefer original ideas.
Please no Wall-E 2 or Up 2

I will like it if it's not a direct sequel, so you don't need monsters inc 1 to understand it.

Yeah, i agree.
the first one cant really be carried on, there wont be anything to do it on so they must be basing it on something else insead of the factory 8-)

Are Pixar doing this or are Disney just ******* up on their own?
If Pixar are doing this, I'm going to lose faith in them. I wonder if their live-action film can make up for it eh....

I loved Monsters Inc. for its cast more than anything else. Steve Buscemi as a villain is pure genius! Wouldn't mind a sequel, although I'd probably wait for it to hit ITV at some Christmas or other.
I don't care if i'll be 18, I am literally going to go to the cinema the first opportunity I get to go and watch it. and then throw a big party ;D

Well hopefully they'll come up with a good story line, some sequels just kill the original film
they'll be more middle aged teenagers going to see this and toy story 3 than toddlers - seeing as the original ones were released in our young daysss (:

i no exactly what you mean, alot of films that are really good should only be left as one cause having another just ruins it completely, i will be really annoyed if it does ruin it cause im really looking forwards to it :D
