Hey all, I'm going to be selling an old machine that I have lying around the house. I'm not expecting much.

Specifications
Intel Pentium 4 3.0GHz
768MB DDR-400 RAM
ATI Radeon 9600 AGP
Some Foxconn Motherboard
80GB HDD
Cheap Keyboard and Mouse

A nice cheap system that could be used to surf the net or something.

Will be installing Windows XP on it, although not a legit version. Will there be any problems with that? Could I just say I lost the serial code if the buyer requests it?

I was thinking around £30-£50. Will be advertising it in my local paper. I will welcome any price evaluations of what you guys think I should sell it for. Not really bothered as long as it's more than £30. Not worth anything to me at the moment as I really don't have a use for it; not even as a server.

Cheers peeps.

Is it OEM or custom build?

I'd probably throw in a cheap monitor with it to maybe attract a family buying it for their child or an elderly person wanting a basic computer but the full package.

With that I'd say at least £50.

<3 NetBurst

It's a Novatech machine. There is no chance of throwing in a monitor, as I'm not prepared to buy one for it and I don't have any lying around. I'll just advertise it as "base unit only" or something. Somebody is bound to take an interest.

Could always part it, I'd take the CPU off your hands if its x64.

Yeah, £50 sounds right.

What's really tragic is that our family use a system that's pretty much the same spec as that as our main PC. (OK, we've put a 7600GS and 1.5Gb of RAM in, but...)

I'd pay £30 for that, maybe £40
