so yeah, apparently the army now "sponsor" you sort of thing to finish your course at college then go straight into the army after that.
basically you sign up to the army now, finish your college course, they pay you £3,000 and you go into the army and do what you want in the army from there.
anybody heard of this or currently doing this and have any information? :)
thanks

My cousin was on about this.
She was going to go uni to do medical the army pays for it all but she has to serve for like 4 years after in the army or something like that. + if you quit you have to pay expenses back.

yeah but with college our tutor told us you get paid at the end of the college course, so you don't pay anything back if you drop out?

Im not sure all my cousin told me was if she wanted to go uni to do medical the army would pay for her to do it and student accom. After she passes she has to serve in the army for at least 4 years.
But tbh you cant expect to drop out and not pay anything back cos what would be the point in them paying for you to do all that through uni and you just quit after.
Im not 100% tho thats jus what she said, Best bet is to ring them up and ask about it.

No iknow but its sort of the same with the uni thing.
I would imagine they would only "sponser" you fi they get something out of it, Maybe if you sign up with them after college or something. Because otherwise it would get abused
It's if you go into something such as engineering, plumbing, carpentry or w/e at college. They'll give you the money if you sign up to the army to go into the RE or the REME and follow up with the skill you started learning at college. I knew this was happening about a year ago but I don't know if it's still going on.
Your best bet is to go to your local Army Careers Information Office or Armed Forces Careers Office and ask them for information.
