I think I'm going to ditch my laptop for a desktop, and was wondering if this would run online games smoothly?

The one I was looking to buy was the £500, but if there was a pretty big gap between that one and the £579 one I'ld buy that one for sure.
Also, how do the XPS's compare to the Alienware range?

For gaming, all of those XPS's are pretty shabby. Even the top-end model only has a GTS240, which basically sucks.

Seeing as alienware is pretty much out of my price range, could you reccomend something that isnt so hefty?

How difficult would that be to assemble?

Seriously, it's pretty easy to do if you read the instructions.
