Totally, thats why Lunchbox (Pro Halo player) drops the AR off the bat for a pistol. Weapon Balance ftw.

That's great so we can't even play in a party, the servers are a bit ******, you can play on your own though. Apparently they're adding two new maps.

Bumper jumper is the same except X will use your powerup.

I played a couple of games, man it's awesome. I hate Swordbase already, and got annoyed wth my incompetent team mates so I went into The Arena which is such a cool idea. Powerhouse is a nice map, not to sure about the weapon spwans though, needs to be kinda balanced imo.
One thing I'm not liking is the amount of semi-automatic guns they've got now. My trigger finger is just so stupidly crap, I want to use the DMR and the Needler Rifle but I just can't :( I must admit though, I've found a new love for the assault rifle, and I love the new Plasma repeater thing. Also, the new Covenant sniper is a beast, it's so powerful

Grown used to it more although even with the 'Recon' control setup I've no idea what grenade change is, stockpile is very good aswell. Not better than H3 though.

I love it, it exceeded my expectations. I'll definately be getting this. I love the load outs, especially using sprint, jetpacks and invisibility. I like the new medal things like 'revenge' and 'close call'. Choosing an emblem is good how they did it, the credit system (earn credits by playing) is a great idea.

Yeah definintely, I'm not a huge fan of the objective game modes on Halo so I've been playing The Arena and all I get is Powerhouse every time. I really really love Covy Slayer

IMO this is going to wipe COD out of the water. I used to love CODMW2, but now it's one of the most frustrating games i have played in my life.

To be fair - its boring.
Its the same thing, over and over again..

Melee + Shield = Fail. The 'MELEE ONLY REMOVES THE REST OF THE SHIELD' should be removed
AR needs to be beefed up
DMR needs a little more damage, Maybe less bloom
Frag grenades - Too high blast radius?
Spartans - Depressingly slow moving?
BxB Meleeing - Thats annoying (B X B - Buttons to hit resulting in 2 faster melee attacks)
Needler needs Less needles for an explosion
Some crosshairs need 'brightening'

I don't get the needler anymore, I thought it was 7 needles to kill but I've put in tons into people and they just don't explode, it's really annoying.
I'm getting really used to using the AR for a few bursts and switching to the pistol, but I kinda think the pistol needs to be nerfed a little bit, it's a little too powerful imo.

I like Halo 3, but it kinda gets boring after a couple of hours. I don't know if it's because Reach is a new game, or because I'm just excited about playing a different game, but Reach just seems to be a lot more fun to play online. That double melee is a total ***** though, reminds me too much of the double melee in GoW 2

Your point is fair, but there is no gain in Bungie just repackaging Halo 3 with a new engine/graphics and a new story. Considering this is Bungie's last game, they might as well go all out and add in cool stuff and what not.
The new additions to multiplayer are the things pushing me to pre-order this, usually I just wait for it to get cheaper, I'm sure I'm nto the only one

Not sure what I think about Invasion. I love the idea of a more tactical online mode, but it's kinda getting boring already. I hope in the actual game there are different types of objectives to go for rather than the same sort of thing.
I also hate the pairing up aspect. I know it's meant to promote team work, but if I'm dead I want to get back into the action to help attack/defend, I don't want to see my 'team mate' teabagging people.

I'm with Chris, Halo Reach is just a failure, it's not Halo it's Call of Duty Meets the Spartans, jet packs are stupid, the EMP pack whatever it's called is just plain damn stupid, I'm not that good at Halo but that ability made it unbelievably easy to get kills, the sprints pretty decent but it's just stupid that adding more to your character is required for it to run faster and the stealth failed as it was, having it as a button any moron can freely press just adds to how stupid it was.

Halo 1, 2, 3 and ODST > Reach.

Shame, it had so much potential, it's not even something I'm going to buy now.

Also "Invasion" I loved the idea but then I heard it was familiar to a game type I despised in Unreal Tournament 3 and it sounds like a cheap knock off of what Battlefield has ALWAYS been, sorry Bungie but this game is just a fail.

People need to realise it's just a beta and it could be fixed. Plus, it isn't Halo 4. It's Halo: Reach it's bound to be different, it'll appeal to some people and then others will hate it. The only issue I have is the Assault Rifle is terrible, and you'll go positive using spring and meleeing people rather than using guns.

Grenades need nerfing, I love the customization of the load-outs (on the full game you'll get different loadouts per map for example a big map you'll get snipers etc)

Fair point, I do love the idea of tons more classes and obviously the complete armour customisation, but little things like double melee and the grenades kinda annoy me.
