ok this is my first even ban on the account Willafus and its a ******* perm?!?! Reason: attempting to steal passwords.
Basically i was in steffnai's cino and i said something like "OMG STEFF IT COMES UP ***** WHEN U TYPE UR PW TRY IT :O LOL OJ", tbh i can understand getting banned, but a perm? seriously?!?! i was obv joking and even said i was. Think i can get unpermed if i appeal?

They may reduce your sentence, i agree that perm is a bit high tbh. I think there should be a ban cos there are people out there that use this to try and trick noobs into trying to get there password (even though it's the oldest trick in the book).

Dunno what they would reduce it down to? A month maybe?

Even if you're joking, they always treat it as a serious matter. It might be worth appealing, as Danube said but I wouldn't expect much back from it.

Yeah it maybe hard to get anything back tbh. If you think about it, someone who was actually trying to steal passwords and then got banned may then appeal to Habbo saying they were joking. Now if Habbo unbanned this person there would be a scammer on the loose again. It's worth a shot, but in future just be more careful, even if you are joking :P, you never know who might report you.

Prebbo got a perm ban for the same reason. I think a mod went a bit power mad!

Atleast it's a MOD going power mad. I remember way back when we has Hobbas. It was mental. They were just like normal people but with extra powers. If they didn't like you - Banned. You could appeal it most of the time as unfair and Habbo would sort it but it was such an inconvenience. I mean imagine it, a Hobba comes into your shop, you don't notice they are a Hobba, you refuse a trade to them, so they ban you. Lol. I just hope you had a safety account or something.

It's a bit like saying 'Look I have got a bomb in my bag' at the airport they are bound to take action. It's a very old scam that some do use to steal passwords. As others have said get in touch with them and explain it was a joke and say it won't happen again. See what happens.

You deserved a ban but maybe just a couple of months rather than a perm. A new user could have quite easily believed it and said their password in the room, which everyone would have wasted no time logging on as them.

I have a friend who works in Security at the Theme Parks in Florida and she was saying how they get people joking around saying they have a bomb. Quite simply they call the Sheriff over; they HAVE to arrest you for it. Same applies here really, if you ask for a password (joking or not) it's quite serious.

Yeah i agree with you all, lol i was a bit mad about it last night since i have no safety accounts so im now a worthless noob :P Do they save chat logs? because in the appeal i said something like "if you save chat logs or something can you please take time to have a look at my previous chat logs in that room", if they do save chat logs then this would be the way to unban the right people. Hopefully i will get a reply in the next fortnight. Until then, taking donations :P

Chat logs are saved. When I appealed a ban on my account that was banned in 03 after being hacked they had the console message saying the person on my acc wrote "selling my account for hcs"

I had just met up with an old mate, and I was telling him all the knew things in habbo. Such as the ability to wave by typing 'o/' and the ability to type someone's name by typing ': x'. As a complete joke, I said, "And if you type your pass and press enter..." then followed by "JOKE" "JOKE" "Joke MODS" - Just to make sure they knew it was a joke! - You will see this information in the chat logs of my account, named Prebbo .

However, around 2 minutes later I found myself staring at the Habbo client, with the message that i'd been permanently banned.

Please take my appeal into consideration as I believe it was a great misunderstanding to ban me in the first place.

That basically sums up my opinion. Why say that if you knew you were going to get a ban, trying to steal passwords, such as in this way, results in a perm ban. In your appeal try and include that you were joking. But Habbo hardly ever un-ban perms :(
