Nigel Farage seen here earlier this month.
Former UKIP leader Nigel Farage has been injured in a plane crash in Northamptonshire. The plane carrying two people crashed at Hinton in the Hedges Airfield at Steane, near Brackley, at 0759 BST. A Northamptonshire Fire and Rescue Service spokeswoman said Mr Farage and the pilot were freed from the wreckage. Mr Farage was taken to hospital in Banbury with non-life threatening injuries, and the pilot was transferred to Walsgrave Hospital in Coventry. East Midlands Ambulance Service and fire crews are at the scene.
Wow what a day of all days to happen, they reckon the banner has maybe snagged on the plane.

The plane was disgusted by having the UKIP banner on it. Is that his way of advertising though? Fly around 24/7 with the banner instead of going and actually speaking to the people?
I hope the plane is OK. If not then I hope it gets well soon.

Plane is smashed to smithereens. RIP plane. :( Farage was scanned to see what injuries there were - rumours are that there was a complete absence of a brain:O:P Being serious it must have been a real shock and I hope he is okay - looks like modern machinery and UKIP just don't mix. :( They were only 15 metres from the ground though so it could have been a lot worse and they both got away with minor injuries.

Sounds very lucky to be honest, glad to hear both him and the pilot are okay. Show a little bit of decency, it's one thing not to like a political party but to personally hate someone is a bit different.

Come on Jordy - its a joke! :P :D. The Guy is fine. It would have been a lot different if it was a serious accident. Don't hate the person just can't take him seriously.

Agreed. Only joking about him as he didnt get injured.Perhaps but your post didn't have an ounce of seriousness. He may well not have life threatening injuries but he's not going to be released from hospital for a little, he was very lucky not to be injured and you use it as an excuse to make cheap shots. It's always sensible to draw a line between politics and actual people, for example when Michael Foot died recently many Tories came out to say how loyal and intelligent he was, they hated his policies with a passion (And so did everyone else) but he was a respectable politician and kept to his morals.

So what was this then?
by Catzsy Being serious it must have been a real shock and I hope he is okay Again it wasn't serious, he has minor injuries and he is not dead! A joke would not have been made if he had died or had serious injuries. What do you take us for? I doubt many politicians are going to comment on this incident as it is nothing like Micheal Foot.

I'm not expecting politicians to make comments on the incident, I'm just showing how it's sensible to split your thoughts on people and politics, such as how Michael Foots death was treated.

Sorry, Jordy - it as just a joke. I am happy that I can separate politics from people and I was commenting on him not his policies. I have a right to this opinion.
Yes well he has been transferred to John Radcliffe Hospital and it still says minor head injuries and they always keep them under observation for that for at least 24hours.

Have to say he doesn't look too well in those pictures though, Robbie. John Radcliffe is a leading hospital for head injuries though so he is in safe hands.

Poor Nigel. :( Saw this earlier on... made me feel sad because he speaks his mind and is not afraid to do so. I hope he gets through this perfectly fine...

Well that sort of defines the left from the right, getting personal at the worst of times;- I believe I was the one who posted the Michael Foot thread in the first place, I hated his policies but respected the man because he actually was a socialist and a true politician who served the people. Anyway concerning other politicians commenting, Gordon Brown and the rest should be commenting because Gordon finds the time to comment on Michael Jackson, Susan Boyle and others yet it appears he cannot even wish a fellow public servant some luck.
To hell with the shower anyway and get well soon Nigel and the pilot! :)
Inseriousity.

Stop making stupid and illogical generalisations about left-wing and right-wing.
I'm a "leftie" and I hope that he's okay, victims of a plane crash are not something I'd laugh at, regardless of their policies.

I never see Conservatives calling for Labour leader/polticians deaths like many Labour supporters do with Margaret Thatcher.

I am just saying Jordy. Where is the proof that anybody has anyway?
as much as I ABSOLUTE DETEST THE CRETIN, i really hope he's okay and recovers well. i'm not just saying that either, stuff like this is beyond politics - a man could have died for christ's sake.

I don't really think such a remark should be taken so seriously however, Dan was just proving a point about how politics gets out of hand sometimes. That's not to say Conservative supporters haven't called for the death of Gordon Brown or something.
