MSI Motherboard. Replace with Gigabyte or hang your head in shame when you buy it.

I have just taken delivery of the LiteOn optical drive, the be quiet! psu and the SpinPoint HDD you are choosing, so this is my first impressions of those units.
The be quiet! PSU looks very slick, and would look good in a case with black insides. The wires are long enough to reach down to the bottom of an ATX board (I'm in a Zalman Z7 Plus case) and the array of connectors available is immense. The PSU is ATI certified all the way up to a 5870.
The LiteOn drive looks quite professional, and fits in well with black front panels. It will come in an envelope, in a plastic bag with a disc. This disc contains Nero Essentials 8.
The SpinPoint looks alright, and comes with instructions and some HDD screws.

You're wrong. That is a very good motherboard for the price. Performance and overclocking wise it is like a board almost twice it's price.

Get a good cooler for sure. The AMD Black series CPUs all have unlocked multipliers so they are very easy to overclock. For example I ran my 965 (3.4 stock) at 3.8 by just changing the multiplier and it ran fine until I realised the stock cooler sucks, haha. Corsair H50 is very highly regarded.
Ill be buying this cpu cooler too.

Nope. MSI is an unreliable brand. Avoid like the plague.
Good brands: Asus, Gigabyte.

I've had MSI boards in all but my latest system, they've never put a foot wrong.

A good suggestion for a CPU cooler is a Tuniq Tower 120 extreme (Rev.B or Rev.C) (http://www.tuniq.com.tw/Cooler_Info/Tower-120-Extreme.htm) http://www.ebuyer.com/product/169197

I agree, MSI are unreliable. But that board is awesome bang for buck.
Could anyone recomend me a case too? Cheers

I'm currently using a Zalman Z7 Plus, and although ebuyer don't sell it, it's fantastic. The only issue I've had so far is that the PCI slots are punch-out.
Oh, and an update on the bits.
The ODD did a perfect install of W7 Ultimate onto the HDD, and the PSU is currently powering 4 Zalman fans, HDD, ODD, an HD 4670, an Athlon X2 250 and a Wi-Fi card without a hitch.
