would be possible, I got a netbook with one built in, but it would mean leaving it out in the shed which probably ain't the best idea..

Awesome :) Robins are great birds, they're quite tame too. It might be worth seeing if you can leave worms and/or seeds a few feet away from the nest, and seeing if you can befriend it :)

That's awesome! Do the BBC do a Summerwatch? I know they do a Springwatch and Autumnwatch, they would probably be interested in setting up cameras in your shed if they did :P

I think it is already quite friendly with my dad since he does a lot of gardening - so a lot of worms about!

Thats really cool! A couple of months ago, I kept on having hedgehogs pass through my garden like everyday at the same time for around a week :)
Caught one once, put it in a box (no we werent cruel) but it in a nice warm place, gave it loads of yummy food. The next day, we let it go and it kept on going back inside the box lol. I was like :'(

Managing to get a decent picture isn't easy, its on a high shelf and in low light levels. Didn't want to turn the flash on while it was there though.

In my garden, we have the back seperated from the part nearer to the house with trellaces and we have a small bird house hanging from one side. They've recently hatched in there too and we see the 'parents' every day now, going in and out :P

I'm guessin they'd all be hatched by now since that pic is about 2 or 3 days old and the robin's are in and out constantly looking for food, also being very protective.

Makes sense. Do you provide it with any food, like leaving seeds near by?
Or do you just not intervene?

turn over a rock in the garden so it can easily access worms every day or so

Image from today - sorry its such bad quality but I don't want to go near the nest so i'm using zoom and its very dark.
You should be able to see an eye and a beak, the mother was out getting food when I snuck the shot.

Time for an update!
One baby was carried out by the parents after dieing in the nest, and another one got snatched by a cat. So that leaves about 3 left if those ones are ok that is.

Omg, why didnt you protect them from the cat!
About 6 years back there was a nest in my shed, it was cute watching them learning to fly, they'd fly into the living room windows etc, but it was a shame, we found a few dead under things in the garden (they'd go under there and get stuck) :(

Nope, but my dad did on both occasions.

Impossible to see it coming, cats are fast when in 'predator mode' and I think my dad was in the shed for tools or something.
We have Blue ***'s that come back to our bird box every year :D
Not sure how Robins react, but be careful not to scare the parent away :P

I always see this cat in my garden, not my little cutie pie, but some other big beast of a cat and whenever i see him chasing after a mouse, i throw pens at him from the bedroom window to scare him off, then go and check on the mouse.

Was doing that to me too, you probably won't see your own post for about a week either. Somethings up with the forum, recently it was doing it on the post a pic of yourself thread too for some people.

Saw a baby Robin today! A little smaller than the parents who were also around, and it's chest isn't fully red yet. They're coming very close to us too.
