All the people who say 'its just a game' and you should 'forget about it'.

Ok, hows about the people who are multi rich that find out they've been hacked.

This aint just a game, people are addicted to it, but its not just that, people pay real money for credits etc, REAL money is a different kettle of fish..

Neopets has 'NP' currancy, but habbo actually asks for real money, and most people give real money for credits and to buy furni.

I'm not implying this is habbohotels fault, because anyone can just be claimed to be hacked and habbo can't afford just to give out loades without total proof they've actually been hacked and most games have to make these rules.

1 throne might not be alot to someone rich, but it may be alot to someone else and people must respect that when people lose things its NORMAL to grieve over it because believe me I know the feeling of losing everything..

When your paying real money its a totally different case, all the people are selling furni on ebay..this is not allowed, but just think about it in there shoes for one minute..a habbohotel UK throne has got to be worth £10-£15.., if people have hundreds of them, just think about it in there shoes.

Hackings are totally unfair and I understand how most players feel when they get up one morning to find loades of thrones missing..

You cant just get up one day, lose about 50 thrones..go to the supermarket and forget about it.

This game is FAR from a game..so all you people who think its funny when people react badly to hackings, just think how YOU'D feel to lose so much.

I KNOW this is off topic but quite frankly I had to say all this before I bursted..

Well done, nicely said. But for some it still is just a game, I go on to have fun, not to buy furni. I can see where you're coming from with people who are addicted and spent loads but I think an addiction to something that won't be here in a couple of years is a bit unhealthy... + REP

It is real, Habbo teaches you how life can be unfair, from losing to gaining.

Nice article.

Interesting Article, people who think it is Habbos Fault and that they scam us for money are idiots. They do not force us to buy credits now do they? No, they don't we buy them out of our own free will.

They dont force us to buy them nope, but once you get into the game it just seems right to buy them..All the stuff you CAN do with credits, like habbo club etc, just makes us buy them

And technically it isn't that expensive, it's not too cheap and its not expensive, just right really. Even if it is for a Virtual CHat.

Credits arn't loades of money no, but I think its wrong because habbo are taking advantage of kids.

Kids are under 16 in my opinion, theres people younger than 11 on this game and they can buy credits.

Kids under 11 dont understand premium rates, kids under 11 dont understand much at all, they dont understand what there spending..

Kids are able to run up an extorchunial bill of hundreds of pounds fairly easily, and that to me is taking advantage of kids.

If most kids ask there parents for credits and there parents say no, its not really if kids listen and parents end up with big bills.

I know habbo clearly states that credits cost money, but its like giving a kid keys to a car, there gonna check it out and they gonna do it even if you say no because thats what kids are like. I'm old enough to realise when I was a kid on this game I run up pretty big bills myself and it waesnt fair and I know how kids feel and how they want to be rich..

I think its absolutely awful to give kids the options to do this sorta stuff..They've only just introduced the SMS credit method to over 16s only.

My mum rung up BT a few weeks ago and put a ban on the credit line when she found the number in my mobile phonebook, and BT said to her they get so many calls wanting to ban that credit number.

It's quite a good Money Making Scheme really, aimed at Teenagers when younger Teenagers don't even know much about the consequences of spending loads of money using those types of payment.

The vouchers you can get in shops is quite a good idea though.

Well don't spend money on Habbo.
It clearly states on the homepage buying
credits is for the extras such as furni' and HC
which seems pointless to me anyway.

I think its one of the best businesses in the world:

Getting people to pay for soemthing virtual (worth nothing).

Think about it.

£2.50 a hc sofa - 19 hcs a throne. Times £2.50 by 19 (around that) and you have £47.50 - so thats roughly £50 a throne.

Of course because a hc ON HABBO is worth around 60 creds, thats £6 x 19 = £114

So a throne to HABBO is worth £114, and to you it's worth £50.

£50 for 1 - then get more and get super rares.

Alot of money in the end.

Interesting Article, people who think it is Habbos Fault and that they scam us for money are idiots. They do not force us to buy credits now do they? No, they don't we buy them out of our own free will.

In certain cases it is their fault. In other cases it's the fault of the user for not taking safety precautions. But when a moderator who is paid with users money types in his password into a fake habbo hotel or logs onto a site that records his / her keystrokes, I hardly find that to be the responsibility of the users who are hacked as a result of the moderators lack of protection.

Kids steal parents credit cards after using up all of their available sources of income on this game.

Underage and uncontrolled gambling in one of the hundreds of luxurious casinos on habbo anyone?
