I'm scared for my future. I want a job in the public sectore (teacher to be precise) and under Conservatives, those hopes are uncertain.
I am a person who relys on the NHS when I become ill - the Conservatives bring uncertainty to the NHS with the cuts that will come.
Heres hoping that David Cameron is moved swiftly back to the opposite side of the House of Commons.

An awful speech by Cameron and when you disect it you can see just how hollow those words ring, for example to rent a phrase 'rebuilding families' - well i'm sorry but you cannot rebuild families that have split. This will be a government of one-nation conservatism and liberalism from the Liberal Democrats which have failed in the past. I see one-nationism as a sideline to socialism, a idealogy which allows socialism to continue and Cameron has already told us that he will still allow the European Union to make our laws, he will increase foreign aid, he will increase taxes - he is no conservative.
The real winners are Herman Van Rompuy, Jose Barroso and the rest of the eurocrats in Brussels.

13 years of depression has lifted in the last few minutes, now the country can recover and get on with creating some wealth for our kids to enjoy.

I have nothing against the Tories but i am worried for the future of Britain with somebody in charge of whom i know little about.
But to say Conservatives are great and are the best choice for the future its abit silly, when the person has never experienced what its like with the Tories in charge.
You're all very rather deluded that a change of government will equate to change. Including me in that matter.
I was a hardcore Tory, then I was a leaning Lib Dem. Now I consider myself politically ambiguous. An observer. My mother leans UKIP, and I slightly do, but I think I will always be 'the floating voter'.

I daresay many people are uneducated on exactly what Thatcher did. It seems to me at school (and on this forum), many people jump on the band-wagon and agree with others about "Thatcher being an idiot" rather than reading it exactly and forming their own opinions. I have no opinion of her, for the simple reason being I'm unsure what she did so badly.
Then again, the majority of us aren't even voting age - intresing how we try to understand and debate politics.

EMA is supposed to be spent on equipment you may need for college such as overalls if your in construction or other uniforms you may need for your course. It is also supposed to be used on stuff like pencils and pens and other equipment.
Although i have to admit, mine very rarely does - but it does genuinely help out college kids who don't have jobs.
What's happening to the education funding then? Clegg wanted to spend more money but Cameron wanted less.

I imagine EMA will be cut, at least to a degree. The bonus thing will probably go. Both parties have shown disapproval of the system, the Lib Dems want it cut so that more money can be pumped into colleges which don't get as much funding as sixth forms.

any generous funds towards the middle/lower class citizens of the UK will be cut majorly. same with alot of public sector jobs, expect redundancies in the police and medical sectors. i wouldnt be surprised if they rid of PCSO's either, i mean getting rid of the BBC because rupert murdoch told them to will probably happen. dirty goings on behind the scenes, i mean why would any voter want to rid of the bbc? if all conservative voters knew that, they wouldnt vote conservative.

Let's hope this will serve some good.

Sad really that David Cameron is going to HAVE to become un-popular for England to do well.
Labour skipped all the tax rises that were essential, so the Tories need to introduce the tax etc, unpopular decisions can be heroic though.

What about those people who work but also rely on benefits.
Well feel free to report those people to the authorities and they will be sorted. That sorts your concern!
Thank you.
I have no job, I receive no EMA yet I'm fine. What about the people that get full EMA, yet receive a free bus pass, and credit to buy educational supplies at college? Although I am against people on EMA getting so much, I live in a Conservative run county and that's an example of them helping the working class. How can anyone say the Tories are only going to help the rich when things such as this happen?
any generous funds towards the middle/lower class citizens of the UK will be cut majorly. same with alot of public sector jobs, expect redundancies in the police and medical sectors. i wouldnt be surprised if they rid of PCSO's either, i mean getting rid of the BBC because rupert murdoch told them to will probably happen. dirty goings on behind the scenes, i mean why would any voter want to rid of the bbc? if all conservative voters knew that, they wouldnt vote conservative.
shows just how misinformed they are.
No, that just shows how deluded you are, you completely misinformed fool. Please back all that crap up with evidence. The Tories want to cut pointless labour spending, the front line staff in our main services will not be affected. PCSOs are the biggest waste of money EVER. What do they do? Walk around, looking like idiots, trying to enforce law when they have no power? Fantastic!
Please get off the bandwagon and do some research before you try and argue, ignorant fool.

I saw something on the news about teams of people in an area going out and giving people £50 fixed penalties for dropping cig ends. A team of 4 people issued 2 fixed penalties all day. Hey, brilliant use of spending! PCSOs are pointless too, everyone here laughs at them.

PCSOs are useless indeed - no proper powers and people here think they're a joke too. They are not seen as police because really they aren't. What is the point in having a really lovey dovey police force? With name badges, etc? Maybe Community Support Officers would be good for helping gather information after a crime has been committed or for things that aren't so important and the real police should deal with real crime. Criminals aren't friendly so why should the police be? Criminals just laugh and take this piss... then they get a short prison sentence, or even community support (and I heard two lads laughing about it, one said he stabbed an officer in the arm with a scalpel) and then they come out and do it again.
Sorry for the rant.

The BBC will sadly not be privatised by the Conservatives, although I dont understand why Labour supporters are against free market commercial television that nearly every other country has. If I want to pay to watch the BBC then let me, if I dont want to watch BBC then dont force me to pay for television I have no desire in watching.

European Union, Olympics, cushy prisons for criminals (Xboxs etc), expenses, out of control welfare system, throwing billions at the NHS which doesnt solve anything, paying private contractors over the top prices to build hospitals, the client state that has been created under Labour (the public sector) with jobs such as 'diversity manager' on £30k+ a year - all can be found in the Guardian jobs pages.
I mean you could go on and on although i'm not with the Tories on this either, they propose £6 billion worth of cuts - it needs to be well over £60 billion in cuts if we are to get ourselves out of debt. We have a debt of well over £1 trillion and we spend more on debt interest than we do on the entire education/military budgets and they are having a laugh if they think £6 billion is at all a serious saving.

If you have no job, don't recieve EMA and are fine then you must get money from your parents. Not all parents can afford to give out cash to their kids all the time. You can't recieve free bus passes at all so I don't know where you got that from.

I got that from my Brother's girlfriend who has full EMA and has a free bus pass. I guess she's obviously lying since you know better.

well maybe you misunderstood her or something. if there were free bus passes for under 18s then everyone would have them, you can get reduced fair passes that mean you only have to pay childs fair, but thats still £7 a week here

I did not say I didnt use those services, I believe you should have the simple choice over the matter of what broadcasting service you use.
The Guardian is a very good point, we all know of government non-jobs and the public sector in this country has expanded massively which is the cause of the massive deficiet in this country and others, the public sector does not create wealth - the private one does.

That is agreed if the creation of wealth is the only priority. That's where the philosophies differ.

Well it isn't, maybe you can get free passes wherever you live but here you can't. You can't take EMA away from everyone just because a few people that don't need it get it.
You still haven't told me how you're fine without EMA, a job or money from your parents.

Well, I get a little bit of money, but nothing substantial. I generally save money I do get, for example from birthdays, for future use. I do do freelancing though, but I wouldn't count that as a job.

For you not to get EMA your parents obviously earn too much money for you to qualify.
How do you get by though during the week, you can't save everything and you need a decent amount for a week?
Your obviously a stuck up snob from a wealthy family background or something and jumping on the Torie bandwagon, go get some scones with Mr Cameron.

Ok, I'm wrong. You know this person better than me, she totally doesn't have a free bus pass and full EMA. I apologize.
Or possibly, you're too stupid to realise that it's controlled by the local authority. The Cambridgeshire local authority is Conservative, and they provide free bus passes for people under a certain income threshold. If you want to have an argument, please phone them up and tell them they're wrong. I can get the number for you, if you want?

I get £20 a month from my parents, and whatever money I have in my account from savings. I think it's more to do with me appreciating the value of money, making the little amount I have personally go far. I personally think that the attitude of expectancy of free money from the state is poor and will only hurt you in further life. £20-30 a week is a lot, maybe you should have some more respect for it.
My whole family is from a very working class, northern background. My dads family were all miners, my mums worked in factories. We're definitely not rich s****, and I don't appreciate you labelling me as that. I've formed my own political opinions, thank you, I'm not a sheep.
Maybe I suggest you should learn to appreciate the value of money, and stop jumping on the anti-tory bandwagon :)

My family is above the income threshold for EMA, yet we are pretty skint most of the time, due to several things - some of these are: there are 5 of us living together, my dad works in london and the money needed to travel there and back from Eastbourne comes from his pocket, we have been repeatedly over taxed and trying to get reimbursed is like trying to get blood from a rock.
If you have, say, a single mother earning £25,000 per year with one child, or a couple with 4 kids together earning £31,000. Who gets EMA? The 6 people sharing £31,000 or the 2 people sharing £25,000? Just because someone doesn't qualify for EMA doesn't mean anything - you're a complete idiot if you think so.
Edit: That all being said, whilst I could use EMA, I would rather live off my own back than burden the taxpayer further.
