.. defeated the Nazis/Fascism in the Second World War? I dont think its talked about enough. People were giving away their lives, millions of people, yet we only remember them a few times a year? I think thats kinda selfish..

Anyway, like I said, which country do you belive defated the Nazis in WW2?

It wasnt just a single country it took efforts from each individual allied country. I don't know to much about the war but i think you cant just say one country won it. Although britain played a significant role in it

The allies defated the axis, it's as simple as that.
Look on wikipedia for who were the axis and who were the allies.
I believe American troops and other allie troops advanced into Germany and eventually Berlin.

When you get down to it you could argue that WINTER defeated the Nazis. It didn't slow down them in Russia, it killed them. It turned the tide.

Exactly. It was mother nature. If Hitler hadn't sent such a majority of troops to Russia, the story would be very different.

You could argue that if Hitler hadn't have been a greedy little 'tache boy then we'd all be pretty much be speaking German.

The Battle of Britain was a one off thing, down to sheer luck. I think it was something of a 10% chance of succeeding, in a documentary I saw.

Last Minute? The same year France was taken over was the same year USA joined the war.

France was occupied in 1940 and D-Day (America joining the European campaign) happened in 1944.
