It's very likely that in just a few hours STEAM for Mac will be officially released with the corresponding games, until then you can grab the download here and play Portal! :P, although OpenGL doesn't run as fast on Mac/Linux as DirectX does on Windows, so don't expect better or the same performance as on Windows:

Weird, some games are missing, like Team Fortress 2 :S

Engadget summarizes this nicely:
"All but identical to the pc version... except you can't buy anything."
I still downloaded it, nontheless. Quite useless to me until TF2 comes out.

It's official now, I had it before it was official and the store wouldn't work :( Now it does though xD
Portal is free until the 24th of May.
Never would've noticed, cheers Niall!
Love the new UI but for some reason my downloads are even slower and news/updates pages don't load correctly.
Why's Portal free?
I dual boot Windows on my MacBook anyway and I'd rather boot into Windows to game, but this is good news for the Mac only users!

It would of still showed on that list? I'm sure that is "ALL" games no matter what OS they run on. (correct me if I'm wrong)

Fantastic news. Sure there aren't as many games as on PC but the platform is now wide open to all developers to take advantage of so I am looking forward to the future possibilities. It is however nice to be able to chat to people without needing a reboot. :)

Does anyone have any recommendations for good games, other than TF2 by Steam then?
