Well it looks to me like he has used some sort of putty or wax instead of gel :)
I use Moosehead wax to mess my hair up... and it smells of chocolate... Can't beat that! :D

I have some styling wax, think when i do my standard current, front sweep, middle/back spikey style i may put too much on and it looks like a wet effect gel :P

This is also pretty wicked.

Would the front sweep be hair dryer just after washing?

I do a similiar thing with mine.... wash it.. Towel dry it slightly but leave it damp.. Wax it in to shape and let it dry naturally :) Ends up like that

Oh i see, you do it when its damp?

I thought you did it when it was dry, might go wash my hair put a bit of wax in it and see what i can do with it.

Its not too long, at max its like 1 /12 inch

I use VO5 Texturising Gum, comes in the small metal tin (I got the special edition one with the Union Jack on the lid). It could help you get that style without making your hair look greasy or wet, pretty good (not if you have really thick hair like me though :()

I use Muk (wax). It works great considering I have fairly long hair and have it really spiky I really recommend it.

I had muk, and I found it hard to use. So if your like me and you're not skilled with doing your hair i dont reccomend.

I use gum its so much better than gel but then again gel is crap nowadays it never used to keep my hair up i used to put it in before school an 2 hours into school my hair had flattened it was junk.

oh I've got that, the union jack + the normal one now :)
That stuff is definitely good, I only use a small bit (literally like enough just to be slightly on my fingers) and it normally does what I want :)
