the towel trick sometimes helps, there are mixed results from it. i also saw in a video that a guy just left his xbox on for 24 hours, and when he turned it off and back on it started working fine. i wouldn't try this unless you were kinda desperate, as i'm sure leaving an xbox on for 14 horus can't be a good thing for it.
