Obviously with the world of digital downloadng becoming very popular CD sales have fallen, I just wondered if anybody does still buy CDs?

I haven't bought a CD in absolutely ages, but that's because I got a years free downloads from napster with my laptop.

I only buy an actual hard copy these days if it's like a compilation album for the car and driving songs and stuff!

If I like pretty much the whole album, then yes I'll but it. If there's only a couple of songs I like I don't really see the point.

I hate buying digitally, I think if you're going to get an album, get the whole package with the art work and cover notes and the like. That said I very rarely buy music, if I buy a CD I rip it, put it on my iPod and then it never gets touched again. I'd much rather go see them live or buy a shirt (which I end up doing a lot). I sometimes buy vinyl, but not for superior sound quality and the like, I just like all the limited edition ones that come out. I have a glow in the dark vinyl which looks pretty sweet

I buy the occasional album if I really really want the hard copy. Most of the time I get my music from play.com or itunes though.

I don't, not anymore. I bought one a while ago in Spain, it was 50 cent. It was crap, most of the songs sucked. One or two were good. I then found the world of remixes and I used to download loads of remixed songs. Now I just download.

I mostly buy my songs from iTunes now.

The only times I buy a CD is if the I like all of the songs on the album, which is very rare.

It depends. If it's an artist I love then yeah, I'll buy it :)

i buy them if i have the money, i prefer to buy cds than buy on itunes or whatever cause you can use a cd for more things, if you get it on itunes you can only use it on that computer :D

I occasionally buy albums. Even then I'll rip to MP3 and pretty much chuck the disc into a pile never to be used again. Fairly sure absolutely nobody buys CD singles any more.

If I liked all the music on the album and the artist then I would. Otherwise, I would just download the music from iTunes.

i will if im really into the album and want a physical copy. i used to buy a cds all the time, i would even sometimes buy albums ive just been recommended. I probably have somewhere between $500-1000 worth of physical music. i bought the box set for radiohead's in rainbows when it came out, it was almost $100. but now i spend my money on other things.

If its music I like, yeah. When I'm getting into new music I normally use spotify, then if I like it I'll go buy the CD. I like having the physical copy so I can use it on multiple computers, xbox and put them in the car too, with itunes I just can't do that, but saying that, I have bought a fair ammount off itunes.

I've got a few actually, wasn't going to mention them because the thread was about cds, but yeah, the sound quality is so much better imo, they're good for listening at home, just not practical anywhere else.

My friend has some dubstep and dnb vinyls he listens to. Yeah I agree about quality.
