.NET problem +rep [Archive]

Right i've got windows xp sp3 and i'm trying to open up a programme but it says it needs to download .net 3.5 before it can run, so i press ok, comes up with an error, i've tried downloading 3.5 on Microsofts website still nothing, i've tried downloading nearly every .net pack none of them work *** :(

Make sure you're installing on an admin account.

You might need to install .NET 2 then 3/3.5

I'm on admin account and on control panel it shows up that i've got 1.1 and 2.0 but wont let me download 3.0 or 3.5

You do know, for us to help you we have to know what the error is.

Anyway, .NET Framework 4.0 is out now.
