Today my heart is broken, Ronnie passed away at 7:45am 16th May.
Many, many friends and family were able to say their private good-byes
before he peacefully passed away. Ronnie knew how much he
was loved by all. We so appreciate the love and support that you have
all given us. Please give us a few days of privacy to deal... with this
terrible loss. Please know he loved you all and his music will live on forever. WendyThe website is down due to traffic but there is an official confirmation on there.

Oh, I just wrote this in the news section. Found out a few hours ago.
Reports circulated that he died last night, only for them to be false though he died anyway.

It is sad to see him pass, although I didn't really listen to him he had an incredible voice.

Not really a huge rock/metal fan these days, but Black Sabbath were one of my biggest influences growing up and Dio was my favourite of all their singers, fantastic voice. RIP etc., it's a hell of a way to go.

There is a campaign on Facebook to try and get Holy Diver to Number 1 in the UK Charts to remember him by. Some of the profits will go to Dio's charity.
