Basically soonish I'm gonna build a pc (via tutorial :P). So basically I have no idea what I need really. I want it fast, large hard drive, looks cool, generally powerful and fail proof I guess. Limit: £650
+rep to all help :D Also what's that site everyone seems to use?

I reccomend Antec 300 Case, its very nice

Also, do you have any sorft of idea with PC building, you dont really want to break it when building it! Some tuts are a little crap tbh

It's not available at Ebuyer, but the Zalman Z7 Plus is a nice looking case, which I prefer compared to the 300.

However, I'd also recommend the NZXT Gamma.

I got this late last year. Some of the parts probably aren't avaliable/there is probably better for the money, but it's a good starting point if you're stuck.

Here's mine; haven't put a case on, but if I were you, I'd spend an extra 10-15 and ad the Antec 300 to that ^^ (Available from ebuyer @ http://www.ebuyer.com/product/143854)

Shame RAM costs so mucn now tbh =[

I'd definitaly rather an i5 750 over a Phenom 965.

my 965 is running at 4ghz stable on air, and it's cheaper.

I understand those results can be confusing but you must look at them in this light, which wins the most and by how much? In both Apps and Games the i5 750 wins the most and by the most on average. What does this mean? The i5 750 is faster, even at lower clocks.

Rofl, someone has too much time on their hands. The AMD, and mobos for the AMD are cheaper. It would be better to get better RAM and a better GPU for the price difference imo.

At stock they are similar, but with a good cooler it is possible to pust the i5 to around 3.8-4GHz that's around a 50% increase for the i5 and if the 965 is at 4GHz that's around a 17% increase.

The 965 is £10 cheaper and your mobo is £6 cheaper. Ram is the same. So for £16 extra, your gaining performance, and 'future proofing' your PC for longer.
