Is it a load of bull? And if not. Wear them anyway. Will they really arrest or fine people for wearing their Nations flag, in their own Nation?

What makes me laugh with all the Facebook groups opposing it, "headscarfs and burkhas should also be banned in pubs then" - Muslims don't drink so chances are you won't find them in pubs? :P
Basically, some police in london suggested to a few pubs perhaps they could ban all football shirts to stop violence etc. They said they won't be banning football shirts and there is no laws banning them. So no, they will not be banned, it's simply been blown out of proportion by people on Facebook (Along with things like Facebook charging people from July and David Cameron getting rid of EMA).

I was going to say ya'know. Seems one person on facebook makes a status, and everyone follows. Such a shame. I did have doubts about this, its form of our human rights.
And people that believe that charging thing and EMA are purely stupid.
But thank you very much for your reply.

What do you mean? I was asking questions. The root of the question? About half of the English population on Facebook.

Sorry, I thought you were quoting a newspaper article. It would be rediculous for arresting people just for wearing the shirt. How on earth would that happen? :S

Yeah I understand what you mean. They'll have one headline which will be shon upon and given so much news coverage such as: "ENGLAND SHIRTS BANNED IN PUBS." Then in the article they'll actually interview someone, he'll explain, and in a way, they'll prove themselves wrong.

I have no idea. Blown out of preportion by patriotic alcoholics scrounging on job-seekers who sit on their facebook profile all day. That's most probably how.

I'd never wear an England shirt if you paid me a million pounds but if I'm being honest, it's a pretty ridiculous rule and I highly doubt it will be enforced, especially with the World Cup on the horizon.
What would be the reason for banning the shirts anyway? Football hooliganism? People can still be football hooligans, bearing football shirts or otherwise...

Why do you hope EMA gets scrapped? It helps alot of teenagers buy things for college.
I highly doubt anybody goes to college just for £30 a week LOL!
EMA helps me out because i add it to my job wage and buy new overalls and boots and stuff for college when i need them.
Anyway on topic, ill be wearing my england shirt and flying me st george flag with pride!
ENGLAND ENGLAND!

Say whaaaaat. Thats bull kay lol. Things need to be scrapped, EMA is one of those things which should be first to. Tuition fees up, benefits penalised. Lifes a *****, and besides if you already have a wage, its plain pointless.
Ive never heard of anyone whos used EMA for "college stuff", cept mebbe train/bus passes... But fair dos on them, though with EMA i think you get em for free.

How's it bull, whos scruffy enough to waste a couple years of their life just for £30 a week when there's apprenticeships and real jobs out there?
EMA should not abolished, it does genuinely help teenagers out, you have to quality for it in the first place so most people are getting it because their parents aren't earning a certain amount of income.
Just because i have a wage doesn't mean its pointless? It's still helping me out by topping up my wage another 30 quid, EMA's there to help students out, thats what its doing.
Obviously you don't know too many college folk then, obviously it helps out to buy overalls and uniform and such, for me it does anyway being in the construction courses.
You don't get free bus passes or anything either when you have EMA, half price at the most - and thats still a rip off due to the increasing bus fairs.

Lmao, my Dad's a teacher, I have friends. And from people he and I have talked to, it's usually funding cannabis plants or stuff they don't need. I'm glad to see someone uses it properly though.

I pretty much went to college for drug/alcohol/car money, got a job in my 2nd year as well but still I really went in for the social aspect and to get EMA - the education was interesting in parts but more done to appease parents

I've not heard of this from any sort of authority, and I'm fairly certain there is no rule against this so you can easily ignore any minor complaints anyway. It's a right to wear what you want provided it isn't targetting anyone, and seeing as wearing a white top with a red cross on isn't targetting anyone, it's perfectly acceptable. It just seems like some trash that came from no where. No doubt a minor complaint by a person with authority to someone wearing a football shirt who was misbehaving, where the story came from a lack of facts. Much like that school story, where a lot of newspapers followed a story which was actually wrong :P
Why are we discussing the EMA? Meh, my view on it is that it's a waste of money. Chucking money at teenagers is a stupid idea. The EMA website says it is for equipment and transport, so why not save money by just giving out bus passes and equipment? It means the students who are given waaay too much money for costs when they only live within walking distance don't get given more than they deserve. It's shocking :/

Depends on the circumstances in which you are though?
EMA can go towards good things aswell as bad, i don't know many people who to college just for the money though, nor do i know anybody who can afford to grow cannabis leafs with a £30 budget.
