Can anyone tell me basic items ill need for this? for example which foods best for taking(within reason) potions etc.

Take some lobbies and bass. Thats what I did, but infrontation helped me a lot to mage it for me. Or you could also take swordies

Yes, but remember that you dont have any armour or a wep, exsept (I'm tired) for a bronze axe but you can bring runes. And bass are a little bit better than lobbies. I have 66 and 102 sharks =]

*cant be bother to read all posts to sorry if somebody said this before*

Take lobbies, some runes for tele just incase, log, knife, arrows (already made put them in your inv) and bow string. That's what I took..the quest is really easy..just first run around tree and tree spirit follows than quickly behind mushrooms and just range it.
