iPod Touch Help!

Basically i have had my iPod touch since Christmas and lately it's been crashing my iTunes.
When i plus it in it comes up saying its an iPhone and gives me all the iPhone menus, like ringtones and stuff.
Whenever i try to sync it freezes up and crashes my iTunes.
I've updated my iTunes and tried to restore my iPod but that crashed it too. :(
Help?

Hmm, have you tried it on a different computer/fresh installation of itunes?

I uninstalled iTunes and reinstalled and still had the problem and tis the same on all computers ;[

You haven't jailbroken it, have you?

Have you tried resetting it? Hold the sleep and home button for about ten seconds until the Apple logo appears. Failing that, go to (on your iPod) Settings > General > Reset > Erase All Content and Settings.

You tried to jailbreak it but it's not now? And your iPod's syncing fine with no issues now? :o

I tried to jailbreak it Christmas day but it didn't work so i restored the ipod settings via itunes and tis worked fine since.
but it dont sync with ma itunes
