Yeh, this is why my neighbor is hoping to get them mass produced. At the moment they are all individually assembled and the parts moulded one by one so they come with a hefty price tag. The materials aren't the normal cheap rubbish you get from china either ;)

Nope, I own one and they're really professional. They've passed safety tests to prison standards (which means they're strong enough to be jumped on and shoved about a lot)
10 years was spent on the design mechanism and in that time it has been totally perfected.
