Anyone else sitting English Literature (AQA) on Tuesday 25th 2010?
What book / novel have you been studying?
We're doing "of Mice and Men" along with the poems :) Quite a good book, just hope the question is something easy! :P

Yup got that exam too. Hate exams but love English so shouldn't be too bad. And were you doing Simon Armitage and Carol Ann Duffy or Heaney and Clarke? :)
I'm doing edexcel but I've got mine on Tuesday too and studying of mice and men. It's like the only exam I'm not pissing myself about. A tad worried about my play which is "The long the short and the tall." :(

We're doing Simon Armitage, Carol Ann Duffy along with the Pre-1914. I must admit, pretty good poems.
I did the English Language exam last November to get that out of the way, got an A in that so hoping for the same in literature. Need a B in it for a good sixth form :)
Good luck to you both!! :)

I'm also doing WJEC, Of Mice and Men and Blood Brothers. Absolutely dreading it, it's essential I do well in this and it's a two and a half hour exam! Worst GCSE exam by far.
doin lord of the flies and poetry. UGHHHHHHHHHHHH
in the mock i got an A in lotf (but we'd just finished studying it) witout revision and a C in poetry (witout revision). So hoping i can get atleast an A this time (coz it evened out as a B), but then i find poetry reallllllyyyyy hard. Oh the sadness

Oh I did them for coursework :D
We did a play called "Our Day Out" for the coursework. My teacher says many schools disapprove of it because it's the easiest one to do - but it's still getting the grades innit. Got an A in that :P

I also need a B in this to study English Literature at sixth form. Hope they're easy questions!
I think as long as you know 6 points about each of the 12 poems and know how the novel is written, it should be fine!

same
the poem will be easy and part A to the question. it gets hard when you choose either B or C where you have to remember the novel/play off by heart :(
