To be honest I think it's appoling when theres people swearing infront of kids because when they grow up the parents like dont swear but it's easy enough to turn around and say why cant i do it you swear so it must be okay. I also think its disgusting rasing your voice at a child tbh. :eusa_danc

they're going to learn one way or another, using rude language is unnecessary infront of anyone. i wouldn't do it on purpose but i wouldn't lose sleep over it. it's mum's and dad's who swear at one another infront of their kids (like my cousin does) that annoys me >.>

it really does depend on the abusive nature of the abuse and if you say sorry afterwards to the child

also if its on a regular basis, then it's wrong

Yes they're going to learn it eventually, but I don't want to be the one teaching them it.

If i'm on the bus and there's little kids then I feel really bad if I swear. :(

If a child is naughty you raise your voice at them.

you shouldnt use bad language infront of everyone.. but we do.

the kids are gonna learn it anyway, so its best if you tell them what the words mean and explain that they are bad, rather than them coming home from school one day and going "mummy, whats a *****"

kids need to be shouted at otherwise they will grow up to be ungrateful, selfish little *****

It's necessary to shout at a child, definitely. But swearing is going too far and no, that shouldn't be done in front of children.

Only sometimes.
Even if you do use words like that, knowning really young kids now, they probably know more than yourself.

Using really bad words in front of children is wrong but words like crap aren't bad :)

They may well learn it at some point but they need to know when to control it....

No.. of course it's not right to swear in front of children. We've all seen in a recent thread a child smoking at 2 years old - I suppose you could say the same applies here.

Well, excessive swearing definitely not.
my neighbors used to swear A LOT around the house, and soon enough their little 4 year old was peeping over the wall saying '****! ****!'
But i agree they have to learn some time, but 4?! no.

Well, no, it's not good to swear infront of children, some parent wonder why their children go round swearing but they themselves done set a good example.

Children are going to learn swear words eventually, school does it to them.
I think parents/carers/teachers should be harsher on children (even though i am one myself) to make sure we listen, the world would be a better place, or at least school life would be easier.

Not really. They learn it and then start saying it when they are like 5 and they don't even know what these words mean.

Swearing infront of children then getting evils from their parents is always fun.

I agree with most of you, they are going to learn some day but i don't want to be the person to teach them or the person they learn them off so i try to avoid being rude and saying swear words infront of children (especially when they are not really a teenager such as 11 and under ect.)
