This is going to wreck my reputation... fo' sure....

My mind has a complete blank on me guys.

I'm buying a new TV (either 720p or 1080p) and I've forgotten how to get HD on it.

It is a HD ready TV, and I thought all you need to do was to get a HDMI cable and plug it into your Xbox to the TV.

But does this work?

Is that all you need to do to get HD?

Sorry for this most stupid question... :@!!

The blondeness is too much!

All you need is a HDMI cable from your Xbox to your TV and then it'll pop up like "LOL WE FOUND HD WIREZ, UR LIEK NEXT GEN NOW. WANT TO DISPLAY IN HD" with options like "NO, IM A MORON" and "YEH BRUV."

Urghhh.

There is a "slider" button on the end of the HDMI cable. Once plugged in to your Xbox console and TV, make sure it is selected to HD.

I'm pretty sure that's the SCART, not the HDMI cable. xD

My SCART lead doesn't have the slider, but my friend's does. I have the basic Arcade, and I think she has the Pro or Premium or whatever it's called, so I don't know if that makes a difference

Read your XBox manual. :)
Manuals are for noobs

Yeah, thats componant not SCART. hahah.

And usually there should be a like.. channel button for the TV. it should have the available channels on there - Be it, HDMI, Component, Scart. ECT.

Lol, I like how a simple answer has turned into a bit of a confusion :P

Basically you need an HDMI cable, one end into the Xbox the other into the TV. Then you go to one of the HDMI sources, which usually only show up when the Xbox is switched on.

I think it's 720p as it states its "hd ready" not "full hd"

Yeah it's 720p as the Screen Resolution is only 1366 x 768 whereas 'full HD' such as 1080p would be a screen resolution of 1920 x 1080

720p isn't really different in the world of games though really, not many games are 1080p and the one i'm thinking of hasn't been released so it could have been changed to 720p (gran turismo, but it probs is 1080p still).

I'm pretty sure that's the SCART, not the HDMI cable. xD

I thought that was how you got the 360 onto HD? Then just find your TV's HDMI channel obv.

thanks ya'll.

I still might get a 32" 1080p hd tv for £309

I think it's worth it
