I'm sorry if you do not like the flash intro. We will try and make a new one as soon as possilbe. As I said we are designing a new template so I will make sure we re-design the flash intro as well.

Also they do not have cPanel at the moment, but we have a new system called "VHCS", but we are going back to cPanel as soon as possible.

Ok, i own Marshall Hosting, the prices are ace, they are so cheap because of our new server, i plan on buying another server soon which will ensure cheaper SHOUTcast and the ability to order SHOUTcast for longer than one year, you think our prices are so cheap the it must be poor quality? wrong! we host many great sites and we only ever get positive feedback, and on top of that our new server is yet to go down, meaning since the installation of our new server we have had 100% uptime. If you want we can arrange for you to pay more so you feel better though, up to you, the main reason i set them so low was so that we were able to compete with bigger comapnies, and we sure do! We are cheaper than most hosts that i know of, and our support is the best around, we have just installed a new billing system called ClientExec, this allows our customers to pay in new methods, check domain availability, submit support tickets so that ou staff may help with problems etc, if you have further questions you can add [email protected]

As for the prices, they may seem good, but it only goes to show you that it sounds cheap, people will think "Hey, Marshall hosting sounds good.. Wait, £3.99 for GOLD? NO cPanel?! This ****s.. Wheres the other hostings?"

And yes, I bet theirs only you and your mate running this, Next time, buy a building with computers, and get staff who can ACTUALLY MAKE LAYOUTS!

its a forum i dont care how my grammar is, the flash at the start is just for fun, im not about profit all the money made from the site has gnoe back into the site, there are about... 5 of us, i can give you a full list to add to your msn if you wish and you can talk to us at the same time if you dont believe me, our hosting is not the cheapest but its very cheap considering we're pretty new to the field... as for gettin an office... come on we're brand new, i think establishing some customers might be a start, we have some, we're changing servers on staurday and from there onwards we will be monitering uptime and on request we will show the statistics, im not angry i just like to straighten things out a bit :P
We're a friendly hosting company and we use a diffent version of cpanel, we use VHCS2, there are less features but it is so much more stable, we prefer stability and security over features... Our staff will happily install forums etc for you, i personally am no good at that kind of thing but i install cutenews and little things lol, im just the guy who provided for the company to start with... i was thinking about buying a new layout but i've decided new shoutcast servers come first so we can lower our prices on that :P
Any suggestions for improvements will be taken into consideration, however negative feedback doesnt help anyone, please help us make become better with positive, constructive feedback

hidden charges??? i dont think so, we had a problem yesterday with someone who thought that the hosting price included us making the whole site for them, thats not hidden charges, we're a hosting company not web designers. Also there is nothing wrong with our uptime, we are going to be monitering as soon as we're on our new server (from monday i believe).
Edit: btw im not sure whether to keep the flash intro or to can it lol, its great but not relevant... i think it will be going, any one think otherwise?
Edit: Ok i have removed the flash intro despite the fact i love it lol... i know it wasnt relevant however and it has now gone... i have been looking at buying a flash site for marshall hosting, but they're all damn expensive lol... hmm

As i said we are looking for a new template, the current one is just something we have been using untill we find a better one... we want a flash one, does anyone know where we can get one cheap? i have been looking at boxedart but for flash you need to pay $60 to be a member then another $60 to buy a flash template... $120 is a lot of money >.> so yer if anyone can find a cheaper place then that would be great!

Using a template is ok, but a free one for services isn't impressive. The uptime will be high, thats because the company you got the reseller from must take care of their server and provide good services.

dont worry the new template is cool... we are now sponsors of habbonewsie... www.habbonewsie.net , yes our uptime is great, yes our host is great, yes the current template needs changed (and is being changed), yearly subscriptions to shoutcast coming very very soon (and hopefully a drop in price too), and whats wrong with a reseller? our prices are still low, our support team is great and our customers are happy, anything we make we reinvest so that we can lower prices further, im not in it to make a load of money, thats really not something im interested in, all i want to do is cover the costs of the company and my habbo fansite (which needs to be moved to the server we're on because its on an old host and it just maxed out its bandwidth in the first week of the month >.> )...

Actually we're leaving tidy hosts because we have asked them fro cpanel many times and they continue to give us... about vhcs2 being more secure, our new host is cheaper which YES, it means our prices... wont be going down but what you get for your money will go up! (£2 a month is tiny come on, after paypal take their charge we're left with nothing)

Actually i gained about 6 new clients in first day of opening it may not seem like many but in the first day its a hell of a lot. It took me about half a year to plan how i was going to run the company i didnt get up one day and buy a server. I spent a lot on advertising which took me over 3 months to make back, Im talking over $300 a month for some advertising (E.G www.cutephp.com). And yes it started small as in client amount but the site it self was gaining hundreds of hits a day at the end of the first few weeks of opening. I aimed the company at anyone who needed hosting not just habbo fans which is at the moment basically what you are doing. The advice im giving you should be taken in.

1) Make the layout standout of much as possible dont use a template and just go in paint and put you company name in the banner it sends people away as soon as they see it, People need to think you mean business and that you look as good as you say you are.

2) Theres millions of people that need hosting expand your advertising to as many people as possible dont just come on forums like this and expect to be noticed. Trust me paying for advertising will pay off eventually

3) Dont try and beat other companys too soon in the game when you first start its like giant VS ant you being the ant. You dont have a chance in hell in winning people from the bigger companys even by making your prices cheaper it dosnt help much maybe a few people who are short on cash but thats about it.

Thats about all i have to say. Im not going to say anymore about you or marshall hosting just think about the 3 points i have given.

Marshall hosting have tried as when you click order, they hav set the paypal and layout for the ordering up, but they do do thinks **** about face or the wrong way around, but still, thats not reason to insult them.

They have to charge these prices I would presume from the charges they have to pay already.

Yes, they do need advertiseing, but people find other ways to advertise that the annoying bill boards for example.

So would you take notice of something that has cost a lot of money to do in the way of advertiseing, like a bill board aimed at everyone and a wide, dull horison, or somebody personally asking alot of people and making it appeal to them.

Their sratagy is wrong, dont think that I do not agree with you, but haveing lots and lots of paid advetiseents isn't always best

After you have a temaplte, ask around to exchange banners or buttons on 100's of sites.

Some major sites now have a new site marketing stratorgy that culd really help you.

Btw i have recently changed the deals & prices... you will need to look at the webhosting page as i have not updated the banners to the left... im on a new server which has caused a major problem.... ClientExec Will NOT work!! :s so does anyone know a good replacement, shoutcast should be back soon and hopefully i can get something in place of ClientExec because at the moment only cash transfers in paypal will work :(

I think it will matter, the software you use etc. The better stuff you offer your customers from the start, will be how your company starts off.

If you offer DirectAdmin at first, and all your clients want cPanel, they will remember you as a horrible host.

Anyway we use Cpanel 10 & WHM now :P Only problem i have now is this new server doesnt have the ion cube loaders which means client exec isnt working! arghh... so does anyone know a decnet substitute thats similiar to client exec because that was a great program

1. anyone with any skill with computer would know that is ready made.

Updated our prices again :D another £20 off the platinum yearly package... you now pay for 10 months and get 2 months free on any package... i also added a green package for some reason... i guess for those on a tight budget :P
