View Full Version : Habbox/HabboxLive Going International

Hey, as the merge is coming very soon (I think anyway) Habbox should start advertising on International Hotels such as .com, .com.au, .com.sg. I think most sites have started advertising already and if that is then you'll have to start when the merge is here which will pull us back a bit. I think HabboxLive should start doing parties on .com as much as they can and also get international DJs to do events (if they have furniture).
I also think DJs should start doing actual shows during the night instead of just streaming music as when I tune in about 1am most DJs are just streaming, this includes the international DJs which should really be doing shows at this time?
Thanks.

Would it be a good idea for Habbox to team with with another fansite from a hotel? If the biggest fansite from UK (Habbox) and the biggest from the USA helped each other out.. surely they could advertise each other and get more people. It might bring in some of their DJs and events staff too..? :)
Seems like a win-win situation for both sites.

Actually we are starting to work on cutting the streaming out at HabboxLive, we're hiring more international DJs so we have more people to keep the radio online in the later hours. It is definitely something that we are changing and the last few nights when I have gotten the chance to tune in later I have heard more speaking which is a good sign.
I am not sure about going on .com etc because we don't have stuff over there as far as I am aware but when the merge happens we are going to plan some big events that appeal to people from the international hotels and hopefully pull them over.

I have some furniture (not much) on the US which I could give to you.

Even if it's something as simple as both sites making an announcement on their forums, it's better than nothing. If Habbox introduces themselves as the biggest official fansite for Habbo UK, all the USA fansiters need to do is make an announcement to their members advertising HxF. We can do the same in return. Possibly something along the lines of "Get to know your fellow, international Habbos before the merge", with a link to each others site.
Some of the staff will join each others site (events and DJs around the clock) and some kind of partnership could be made.
Anyone know what the biggest official fansite for USA is?

Was going to post this in a new thread but as we'll start getting international listeners I think HabboxLive will have to start listing the timetable in other times too like have an option to view the timetable in BST etc. This should also apply to the events team.
Not so long ago me, dan and roxy went on .Com and advitised habbox abit

Not so long ago me, dan and roxy went on .Com and advitised habbox abitHabbox should do that more because when the merge comes along they'll just cater for UK listeners and the US listeners won't bother tuning in. Time to start doing it now I think..

If we don't try to keep our users, once the merge happens they might be dragged to other fansites that are official or what not on other hotels

Yes, because the oldest fansite in existence has teething issues:rolleyes:

You're failing to cater for the UK population on here and now you're thinking of trying to cater for more people? forgive me if I'm wrong but didn't/or doesn't Habbox have a USA version of Habbox which was/is failing?
I'm sure it closed down or something.
EDIT - it makes me laugh, you seem so proud that Habbox is the 'oldest' fansite, it doesn't make any difference whatsoever. That's like saying 'oh Notts County are the oldest club in the Football League! they should be in the Premier League!!'.

Habbo US, AU and CA are merging - of course we are preparing for the intake of new users because it's highly likely as we're all going to be using the same habbo, it's not like OH WE GONNA GO SET UP A SITE ON HABBO.COMZ INITZ, we're doing this because we pretty much have to, as soon we will be a Habbo.com fansite.
Or do you not keep up with the news :S

Erm no I have a life and don't play Habbo :S I come only on here to post in the Sports section, which you describe as a small segment of this forums users therefore you just forget about us and don't cater anything for us.

If you only cater for the sports forum, then why are you giving feedback regarding a Habbo matter if you didn't know what was going on. :P
i doubt new people will even join considering the current skins lol
jke i put up with them
but i say habbox might be overtaken for rare values init cause the usa rare site looks niceeer

I agree it's a good idea to start advertising on the USA Hotel. Would be best to get some (new) events staff with furniture on that hotel to start advertising..
I do still think Habbox should have words with.. BobbaValues was it? Why not advertise each others site to get more members.. :) They aren't going to refuse a deal considering Habbox is "the oldest fansite" :)
