Hey, I'm looking around for parts for my friend. He's building a gaming rig, and has about £500-600 to spend.

Is there any chance you guys could get together a decent rig while I look for one at the same time?

Will +rep everyone.

Just a base unit or does he need monitor + keyboard + mouse and all that too?

Just a base unit is fine.

Lower end of the budget is preferred.

Am I being blind or have you not put any Ram in there?

Haha, I was wondering why that was so cheap. Might want to add £100 to that for RAM!

Looks good (apart from missing RAM)
Could probably do with a cheaper GPU though.

If this is a gaming rig then that GPU is the lowest I'd go for as it is. To save money you can cut down on the CPU. Go for a high clocked dual core and overclock it. Gaming doesn't really take advantage of the multiple threads of a quad core anyway.
