hey i couldnt work shoutcast so i got icecast but i dnt av the radio button on ma site could som1 plz reply back with it and i also need to know wat i put for server ip

plz help +rep

Well from what ive seen in your other thread you are running this from home right? if this is the case you said you are using a router this is gonna make it impossible to run shoutcast/icecast or what ever because you dont have a static IP also routers have built in firewalls which have to be taken off using telnet.

You best bet is to buy a server from a hosting compnay or something

running a shoutcast/icecast from home will give you a really slow computer, evrytime you get a new listener, the best thing to do would be buy a shoutcast/icecast server :d

yer when i was only small and starting my online tour of the world, i once hosted radio from my own computer... however it caused some serious lag, listeners were kicked off etc, there is a way of going around your router but it leaves you very vulnerable to attacks... i wouldnt suggest it, you can get radio from something as litte as £1.50 a month or something anyway... that less than 50p a week, come on how can you complain, get your wallet out!
