My new TV should be delivered on Monday, quite looking forward to it, but I've only ever used it once and it's completely different to what I'm used to. I'm usually used to Panasonic and I finally decided to go out and order a Bang & Olufsen Beovision 10. Has anyone actually used one that can give me tips on how to get the most out of it?

+rep to anyone who can help.

Who are they? I personally find with TVs that i'd buy brands i've heard of, or that are popular. For instance, Sony, Panasonic, Sumsung, etc

They are a pretty famous company but are known as 'high-end'

Never heard of it.

To set it up, don't you just plug in your antenna, plug the tv into the wall, and go through the setup thing?

Yeah I know how to set it up, I meant like some of the features and menus, what would be the best way to get the most out of the TV. Like say with a phone, you'll have a phone you've setup but you'll wanna get the most out of the phone and use all of its features, from its camera to its music player etc.. Well that's pretty much the same concept here. Is there any tips to getting the most out of the TV.. But +rep for at least trying to help <3

Edit : I have to spread :(

oh right. spread those legs, huh?

When i set up my TV(s) i like to add "favourite channels", simply to stop having to go through all the SD and HD channels.
In melbourne we have something like this: 7 digital, 7 digital 3, 7two, 7HD. 7 digital is the same as 7 digital 3 and 7HD. if that makes sense?

Yeah I'd probably use Sky TV for that :P

Read the manual and see what the "TV" can do? Lmao. Then if it has some cool features, then try them out! I'm not sure what you are trying to ask here. With my tv, I plugged it in, went through the setup and watch tv when I need to.

He's not trying to ask anything, he's trying to show off his mummy's Bang & Olufsen TV. Protip, no ones impressed :)

They are so so ugly +o(

Not much we can help with because they are so high end that no-one has heard of them.

Read the manual and do some google searching, see what you can do.

It's a tv, don't expect much.

This is just a show off thread. Asking how to use a TV... really now. Just watch it like you do with any other TV.

You'd have been far better off spending ~£3000 on a TV or projector kit and ~£2500 on a decent home cinema sound setup.

Should have waited next year and got a 3d high tech tv.

spending that amoubt of money now and when 3d are really popular, you got a tv that doesnt have 3d lols

Can't you get a full home cinema 3d kit (40" TV, bluray palyer, HDMI v1.5 and surround) for like close to £2000?
It's nothing really to show off about, if anything - you got scammed. Big time

Plus it can't be anymore 'high end' than Samsung or Sony as the screen was proberly sourced from one of those.

I don't know why people are saying "should have waited for a 3D TV" 3D is as much of a gimmick as the Nintendo Wii was!

Why spend 6 grand when 3d is gonna be popular in 2/3/4 years?

HDMI 1.5? AFAIK that hasn't come out yet?

I hate those Bang and Olufsen TVs. Why can't people be content with Argos Value :D. (jks, own a Samsung)

If you don't know how to turn on a tv ask your mum or ask her to hire a private professional technician to switch on your tV? actually get two incase one gets tired reaching his hand towards the button.

and look how well the the Wii turned out! The 3D tv does seem like a gimmick but it is actually really cool, not really worth it at the moment but when you have the glasses on and you are given that extra sense of depth between characters and their background, you kinda just think woah.

It's gonna become the norm one way or another!

Oh yeah, that TV looks absolutely horrible.

Thing is it is going to be over used, a bad example of 3D is Alice in Wonderland, it was crap in 3D yet in 2D it looked bloomin' amazing.

Sorry I was temp banned when this was made.

May I ask what that seemingly pointless bit is at the bottom of the tv (that is like 1/3rd of the tv)

Apart from being there 'available in different colours' whats the point?

THAT'S a speaker? lol

Ew - I assume it has great sound, but a speaker taking up 1/3rd of the front is erm stupid lol
