New features:

General
- PC version uses the next-gen engine (used by PS3/360) but with improved graphics over consoles.

Gameplay
- Passing improved, controls speed and swerve
- Player individuality, personality and workrate (Rooney will chase down, Berbatov will be casual)
- Goalkeeper alertness toned down
- Goalkeeper saves being more unscripted, organic and realistic;
- More than 1 player per team going for the ball (can be tackled by 2 opponants at the same time)
- Signature animations for star players
- Marking being improved
- Defensive system overhaul to stop pressuring being so effective
- Improvements to defensive and attacking AI
- Easier for players to fend off defender physicality
- Less precise long balls
- Less precise AI which makes the game appear scripted
- Much harder all round due to realism, may put off casual gamers?

Graphics
- Player faces created using 3D scans (EA visited all the big clubs with a 3D scanner)
- Player body models improved, shoulders and proportions more realistic, skin and muscle tone detail added
- 10 types of player model instead of 3, think Peter Crouch)
- Kits are soft and move about
- New facial animations, realistic eye movement and blinking

Sound
- Custom crowd chants (upload from HDD)
- Custom soundtracks (upload from HDD)


“Ping pong” passing was much more difficult to perform, and dont expect John Terry to playing perfect through balls. They also mention Ronaldo’s running style is in, and players like Berbatov stroll about, where as Rooney chases every pass down. Sounds to me like individuality is coming into FIFA 11 at last so I may have 2 good football games to play this year lol. Also driven through balls are in you can add music after scoring a goal, before and after games.

Lets hope this is true.

Goalkeeper saves being more unscripted, organic and realistic;

Hopefully the keepers learn to catch the ball instead of palming it away all the time.

I would like a random event if you hold down A for to long whilst defending such as your player drop-kicking the person on the ball, you get a red card and that basically means HAHA you hold down A noob

Fifa 10 has a crap defence, takes about 3 hours to get back :( The goalie can't catch. I hope fifa 11 is better :)

nope. those are the last ones i enjoyed thoroughly. The season mode seems to drag on now.. (yes i have/do own each year after 06)

Personality+ distinguishes individual footballers from one another by utilizing a database that evaluates and grades each player's skill-set over 36 attributes and 57 traits. The EA SPORTS FIFA franchise utilizes a network of 1700 scouts, editors and reviewers positioned around the world to evaluate each player, creating one of the world's most comprehensive databases to drive its market-leading football engine. Personality+ plus will be integrated everywhere in-game. Elite players are now empowered to showcase their world class skills. Real Madrid's Kaka will deliver crisp, creative passes, Barcelona's Andres Iniesta will utilize tighter turns and close control to dribble through defenses, Manchester United's Wayne Rooney will hold off defenders and strike shots from distance with pace, and top-flight defenders like Giorgio Chiellini of Juventus will anticipate, predict and react to offensive players to win back possession. New body types and player models will further distinguish each player on the pitch. In addition, goalkeepers have also been injected with Personality+. The real-life personality of the keeper, whether acrobatic or traditional, will dictate his style in game. Dive attributes will determine the keepers with the ability to reach for further shots while reflex attributes determine reaction times, so a keeper like Petr Cech of Chelsea FC will be able to showcase world-class skills.

FIFA 11 introduces new Pro Passing where pass accuracy is determined by a gamer's ability on the control pad, and player skill, situation and urgency on the pitch, yielding a deeply rewarding passing system. Poor decisions or over/under striking the ball will mean error-prone outcomes. New types of passes such as swerve passes will enable players to make a safer and more effective play.

How overdue is this please. Everything else is what you would naturally expect but overall it does sound very exciting. Looking forward to it!

The 'big' feature this year will be the ability to play as the goalkeeper in be a pro. I bet my house on it.

Libero Grande did it on the old PSX so there's no reason why it can't be done.

I want to see a huge Improvement within FIFA Clubs. Would also be kinda nice If they added the same sort of clubs as FIFA 09 had. I like playing Virtual Pro clubs, but sometimes I like to play with normal teams.

I hope by 'visting the big clubs' EA didn't just mean the English Premiership.
