From the official fansite page it sounds like fansite voting will be open sometime next week. Hopefully giving all the official CA/AUS/SG/UK fansites a chance to become a .com official fansite. :)

The Fansite relaunch will be coming shortly and hopefully in that period of time our dedicated user base that has supported in all official fansite votes to this day (since the Habbox ban on becoming official was lifted) will once again support Habbox in the up and coming fansite vote.

I must say I am somewhat disappointed with the way Sulake has handled this situation. Fansites from the SG, UK and CA hotels are being put at a serious and unfair disadvantage with the introduction of this previous non-existent rule. You would think that, with the merge, all previous official fansites would have been allowed to get a decent footing on the Hotel from the off. I think it is outrageous that Moderators were not given a list of all previous official fansites.

Nevertheless we are not about to let this stop us from becoming an established fansite on the new Hotel.

Considering how many UK habbos support Habbox, there could be a lot of bans.

It's going to be a bit harder for us to become official, however if you look at how powerful Habbox is over the UK community (look at what we did for extreme habbo lol) we may have a chance.

From my experience of Habbo as far as I am aware UK was the only site which had a large fansite community - I mean look, US only has 3 official sites. I think one problem could be if the majority of the community don't like the idea of fansites, then sulake may not play on the fansite thing as much.

I guess we wait and see.

That's besides the point and a whole different issue.

They didn't remove Habbox's Official Status because of Kazopark (they may in the future if we ever get it back), the MODs on US don't know anything and know nothing of a merge so they ignore the merged hotels fansites.

It has nothing to do with Kazo. Every previous official fansite is subject to the same conditions.

Opinion on the quality of the company is irrelevant. Providing the site is not inappropriate or unsafe for our users, it makes absolutely no difference. We're getting the much needed money to run Habbox.

Kazopark are aiming to attract its target audience to its beta release. It is not asking you to choose one or the other and people are free to make their own choice. Yes we would, the same way Habbo would remove it if Kazopark came up on their ads. But Kazopark is not competition to Habbox. The example you cite is in no way relevant to the situation at hand.
