I'll c+p from the local news website.

Man held over threats to kill at Merseyside school

Armed police were sent to a Merseyside school over claims a man threatened to kill there.

Officers were called to St Aelred's Catholic Technology College in Newton-le-Willows on Friday morning.

Staff and pupils were told to stay inside the building for nearly two hours and all entrances and exits were sealed while police investigated.

A 19-year-old man was arrested and a computer and imitation firearms have been seized from his home.

The alarm was raised after a threat with a picture of a gun was posted on the social networking site Facebook.

It is alleged to have been posted by a former pupil who claims he was bullied.

Parents arrived at the school, on Birley Street, after distressed pupils called them on their mobile phones.

More than 1,000 students were inside the school at the time of the alert, some of them taking their GCSEs.

A Merseyside Police spokeswoman said: "Officers were made aware of threats to the college in the early hours of this morning and appropriate measures were put in place.

"A 19-year-old man from Newton-le-Willows has been arrested on suspicion of threats to kill."

This morning I was on my driving lesson so I couldn't tell you in detail what the whole mood in the College was like but I was reading people's facebook statuses throughout the morning:
"Health and Safety issue in college no one can leave the premesis all day!!!"
"Oooh excitement at college. no one allowed off the premises and police all over the joint. bloody hell :)"

this was early on when no one knew the whole story into what had happened, but about two hours ago, someone made a joke "Omg the heads just been shot LOL jke I don't go to Aelreds" in which some people replied with: "Yeah but when you've been in college it's totally different... You lot wasn't there, I just don't think it was appropiate x" so I can imagine how scary this experience must've been. to know someone has been planning to use a gun today to kill must've been really nerve wrecking. It may have just been a prank joke, or if it was indeed real, then we could've saw a massacre at college.

If you want me to post the picture which this 19 year old posted onto facebook, just reply.

EDIT.
I just received some shocking news, the person who got arrested may well have been my step(like) brother when my mum was with his dad many years ago. It says he got arrested on Hope Street, thats where he lives, they say he's 19, he is 19 and he did get bullied :/
