Chemically impossible for it to make you more tired... but no caffeine doesn't make my hyper or anything, it just stops me from literally falling asleep. I'll still feel tired physically though, can't help that.

?? it's a warm, milky drink, which is scientifically proven to make you sleepy because of the chemicals or whatever in the milk. it was also proven (just recently) that coffee's awakening is just a mind effect or whatever you would like to call it

Oh why would you drink it with milk that just makes it fattening
I have a milky coffee if I want to have a coffee for the taste.
I don't know if it was an effect on me, but it makes me feel less tired - even when I am actually tired :P

Depends how much I drink, 2 cups won't do anything; but when I was away on Nijmegen March (100miles in 4 days),
I drank about a 700ml of coffee (2am) and I was really hyper for about 2 hours.

I don't think caffeine is a good idea really. Especially not to the tune of 3-4 cups of coffee per day.

But it is the guardian.. lol - 'experts' also claim eating chocolate gives cancer, and just about everything else lol
It DOES wake me up more in the morning.

Everything gives you cancer due to everything containing/emiting some form of radiation. 'Giving' is the wrong word, merely slightly increasing your chances.
But yeah, i'm going with the theory that it doesn't wake you up in the morning, and it's just all psychological.
Nope, it just makes my tummy feel better! :D

lol such vast detail
like tom said its kinda impossible for for coffee to make you more tired, based on our vast understanding of caffeine. its not like this is some unresearched compound or something.

this article bases itself on the misconception that caffeine is supposed to make you hyper (rather than the reality, which is that it wards of drowsiness). and really all it says is that regular coffee drinkers are no more awake in the morning than non coffee drinkers, which is true because caffeine tolerance is built strong and fast, thus it evens out in the long run. this is kinda like saying a cigarette smoker is just as relaxed after a cigarette as a non-smoker is all the time.
i drink coffee every morning, usually one or two cups. its the only thing ive ever been addicted to, and ive smoked cigarettes. im sure even the strongest coffee does little for me now, but if i dont have it in the morning i feel a pretty out of it. i used to haaaateeeeee coffee i worked at a coffee shop for more than a year, it wasnt until last autumn that i really started drinking it. the taste gets a little getting used to but i love it now. my parents have one of them keurig single-server coffee machines at their house im so jealous theyre so good.

I've never had coffee, I don't plan on having it, either!
I've stopped having coffee. It doesn't affect me until I stop drinking it.
So like if I have it for a week and then stop I'll be awake all of the following week.
