Braces :/

Well basically, I'll just simply ask the question. Should I get braces or not?

I mean, its only really one tooth, but its pretty bad and visible. But the dentist is taking out FOUR teeth and then putting braces on to push them together?

I want to, but I dont wanna look like some next level dork.

Have you guys had braces? Do you have them now? Whats good/bad about them?

What the hell when my dad asked the dentist if I should have a tooth removed and get braces he was like nah that's not how it's done so I never got braces. Maybe I didn't need them I dunno woo go dentists!

I think you should get them. I was supposed to have 2 teeth out before I got my braces but then they said I didn't have to.

You won't regret getting them in the end, they are worth it.

yeah i had them for 2 years. they're worth it and no ones bothered if you have braces if im honest, i love my perfect teeth nowadays

secondly, i think you should, although my sister had them and now she is like 29 her teeth have gone a bit 'wonky' again

i got them 1 week ago and they are PAINFUL .. but no pain no gain, so you should get them

its obv more than just 1 tooth if you need 4 teeth out...
get them, they hurt like a ***** at first and having teeth removed is horrible (well the injections are, you dont feel anything during the removal but after... yeah) and anyone who says otherwise is lying, but its worth it. loads of people have braces nowadays, no one cares and you wont lok like a 'dork'

You should get them, it's better for you and for your teeth.
It won't really look bad, it's basically showing that you want to look after your teeth.

It depends how old you are and how bad your teeth are. If you're leaving school and starting college I'd say no. But if you're still in school go for it.

I had braces in year 8 and had them on for about 9 months since my teeth weren't that bad. So for 9 months of braces I have straight teeth for a lifetime.

Good/bad points, can't really say - they're just braces, if you want straight teeth get them....

It's not unorthodox for your dentist to remove teeth in order for your other teeth to form together because if she didn't, you simply wouldn't have room in your mouth! The exact same thing happened to me in fact! I had four teeth removed within a week and then waited one or two months to have braces fitted which wasn't an entirely pleasant experience to say the least.

I'd rate pain and discomfort as the highest disadvantages though they only last a few days to a week depending on the state of your teeth when the brace is first fitted. I was distraught to find I couldn't eat toffee and when I first had the braces fitted eating bread was horrible, I had the sensation that my teeth were loose and wobbly. I hope I don't put you off however because the end result is brilliant(pending you wear your retainer) and very noticeable. There is nothing better about someone's appearance than straight, white teeth.

I would just go for it if I were you, I don't think anyone really bothers about braces any more, its pretty common place, so you should be fine, and I think there's a bit of pain once you have them on, but I think the end effect is worth it.

I have had braces, well actually i got them off about 2-3 weeks ago. I had a big overbite, so it looked like I had buck teeth.. So, I was happy when I got my braces on, and I loved it when they came off. (: , it looks so much better. So if its visible get braces, there worth it.
