Lolol I have absolutely no idea. Suppose guys would probably give you a better answer here but yeah. None of my boyfriends have ever seen my mum before they've started going out with me so they don't really know whether I look like my mum until after they've met her.

Unless I've completely misunderstood this and you mean guys go after girls who look like THEIR mums and not the girls mum.

not too sure about them judging on how alike they look but most guys look for a mother figure in a long term partner anyway. providing they like their mum, they'll also like people who remind them of her.

actually both my brother's girlfriends are short with brown hair and blue eyes, just like my mum.

I think there may be some truth in it for some people, my brothers girlfriends always have dark hair like my Mum and even sometimes act how my Mum claims to have acted when she was young... but all the guys I've ever been with I didn't look anything like their mothers!

they disregard his theories but he's still one of the top 3 cited psychologists, his work was the basis for all psychotherapy which is hugely helpful to society which noone can discredit the dude for, they just disregard his theories such as the oedipus complex, but his ideas such as repression are still considered as possibilities.

I would find it more reasonable to believe that guys fall for girls who behave like their mothers, or other non-dating females in our life.
