I came off from college after successfully completing my course. The next course I have been accepted for doesn't start until around September which means I've got over two months of doing absolutely nothing and to my knowledge I don't get funded by the college until I return. Is there funding I can apply for so I actually have something in my pocket for the next eight weeks? Cheers guys!
+REPPPP for all handy replies.

There is like NO summer jobs in my area.
For some reason I got bashed on clubhabbo forum for saying this =S
I personally think there should be more benefits for people in education. The only benefits you get just covers your travel and food. So when you're on a course for 2 years, you pretty much have no money to enjoy yourself.
Whereas people who decide not to go into education and get £50 job seekers to spend on what ever they like.
But hey, that's a sacrifice we have to make.
The only thing you can try and do is get a job, which from my experience (currently in this situation) is pretty hard to get without any experience.

You get bashed on clubhabboforum for anything you say that the majority don't agree with, they're a bunch of teenagers with serious problems over there.
It's terrible that you don't get more funding, I couldn't agree more though with the recent recession and economic downturn it's pretty easy to see why. +REPP anyway, thanks for replying.
@redtom: I'm only sixteen, I don't think I can!
I think you can receive it at 16, but you're parents will probably get some money for you, which makes you entitled.
I think the best thing to do is search for a job before everybody else does. It'll be summer holidays soon, meaning more customers, meaning more staff needed =D

I went down and enquired and the least I can do is have one of my parents phone the child tax benefits and ask for a twenty week extension which does mean more money for a period longer than I need it, which is fine if my parents actually get it!

You can sign on at 16 under special circumstances.
If youve got like no money and have to get places / pay rent then go into the job center explain your only 16 and say you need to pay rent otherwise you will be kicked out [Even if thts not true] Say whoever you live with cannot afford to keep you and you should be entitled to something. Youll have to go in every 2 weeks but thats nothing if your getting cash for it.
