Still no Fabregas starting. I want to see what him and Alonso can do in the midfield. Iniesta injured. Silva benched. Navas and Torres starting instead.

Navas looked fantastic.
Anyway, I've got about £60 on Spain -2.0. A bit risky.

Hmm.. could happen. I think 3-0 but Honduras are hard to break down in a way. Depends what Spain turns up. I think that playing Xavi and Alonso will backfire.

I reckon it'll be a slaughter, coming back off a piss poor performance they can't do any worse.

Half the team is a Palacios.
But yeah not sure what the score will be. 3-0 with a good preformance. Or maybe 4/5-0.

What happened to their brother was disgusting, that's why I don't want them to get trounced.
Gary Welcome for Honduras, what a name!

Needs to be a 3 goal margin.

Yeaa that's true. But if Spain beat them, it's not exactly something to be ashamed of.

Haha, I just feel sorry for them. Always want the underdogs to do well.

Changed my prediction from 3-0 to 4-0. Hm..

Navas has the physique of a 6 year old.

These commentators need to do better research. Villa already plays for Barca..

He said Villa's value would have doubled for his goal. Yeah, an extra £30m for a goal against Honduras.

I'd love to see Navas' pass completion percentage, he's been shocking.
Would be funny if Villa's penalty led to them getting knocked out.

It could do Jack, the group looks set to finish with 3 teams on 6 points.

Yup, Switzerland can knock a couple past Honduras and Chile already have a better goal difference by 2 goals.
Geraint
21-06-2010, 08:18 PM
Chile should have won about 5-0 earlier though.
CHA!NGANG
21-06-2010, 08:19 PM
Na it won't, Goal difference can't put them out, but it could lead to them finishing 2nd but that's unlikely.
If Spain beat Chile, and Switzerland beat Honduras then it's:
6 - Spain
6 - Chile
6 - Switzerland
At the moment, Spain are +1, Chile are +2 and Switzerland are 0. So yeah, really Spain just need to win the next game as I can't see Switzerland putting more than 2 past Honduras and they finish top.
If Spain beat Chile then they will have a better GD no matter what, and they'd be +2 and more on GD, so for Switzerland to finish top they need to score over 3 goals which I can't see happening.
Geraint
21-06-2010, 08:21 PM
Yeah, Spain have to beat Chile anyway really so regardless of what score they beat them by, they'll go above them. Unlikely Switzerland will smash Honduras.

Spain's GD is currently 1 and Chile's is 3. So a 1 goal win won't do much.
edit: my bad, didn't realise they had conceded.

I edited it 'cause I realised I was wrong. Chile have +2 and Spain +1. A one-goal win means Spain over-take them. Thought it meant they were level, don't know why.
CHA!NGANG

If Spain beat Chile, then they qualify no matter what. If Switzerland beat Honduras by 2 or more goals then they could finish top, otherwise as long as Spain win, they will finish top.
Browney

Chile are a mint team. What odds can I get on Spain going out? Might be worth a bet.
Besides, if they finish second, it sets up a great last 16 draw vs Brazil.

It wouldn't surprise me, but I think that Spain will do it. Spains main problem is cutting through a defence at the moment, without a fit Torres. But Chile have a bad defence, and play all out attack. The Spanish will hit them on the counter with pace and passing and score a few I think, but Chile might get one in.
Geraint
21-06-2010, 08:41 PM
Spain's defence is crap but Spain have that cutting edge up front.
CHA!NGANG
21-06-2010, 08:42 PM
It's not crap, but it's not as good as the rest of the team.
Ramos will need to stay back a lot more though. I swear I didn't see Capdevilla once really. Pique does well although he'll probably get his nose broke or something in the next game.

Honduras could have broken through a couple of times if they had cleverer players.

Player-wise it's good, but to me it seems a tad disorganised. I think Busquets will play again to hold, I hate him with a passion.

But that sounds like Spain to me, vulnerable on the break. ;) Chile are proven against apealling on the eye teams with an attacking cutting edge but bad defences. :D

Yay Spain were nice to me. I guess I'll stick with them as my favourites for the win
