View Full Version : Best Value for Money PCI Card
hey, iv'e had a good look around the internet for a suitable PCI card for my PC, note not PCI-E due to my tower being quite old :( but ive found this one, and i think 512mb should be enough for my needs, i mean right now, my tower doesnt even have a graphics card, just stock model
so anyway, if anyone can find one thats better value for money or something like that i would be greatly appreciative : http://www.play.com/PC/PCs/4-/9556293/PNY-Geforce-8400GS-512MB-PCI-Graphics-Card/Product.html

The Nvidia 8400GS is a pretty crappy card... and fairly old and you should ignore the 512MB bit for now.
Are you sure your PC doesn't have PCI-E?
Ah sorry, fairly new to graphics cards, only time ive decided to run a decent graphics card on my pc, and yes im pretty sure, im running a Dell Optiplex 210L and its very old :L

i'm going have to agree, even a cheap mobo, cpu and ram would be a good start while keeping the old harddrive, cd drive ect.
hmm well okay, thanks for everyones help :) looks like its back to the drawing board lol, will 2GB ram be sufficient do you think?

I run 1.5 gbs of ram and it handles pretty much everything i need, it depends on what you do, i can video edit, play older games ect without issue. so 2 gb should be fine for most tasks
