What should I do for my Birthday?

Well, it's my birthday next week and I want to go out on the Saturday night.

One of my best friends has turned around and said he can't afford to go out on the Saturday, but he can for a Thursday.

I know that he can afford to go out on the Saturday, since he gets paid (plus hes been doing A LOT of over time) 2 days before.

He's also going out this Thursday with his other friends (he goes out every Thursday).

The only reason I can think he wants to go out on the Thursday is because his friends are also going out, so if he doesn't like it he can easily ditch us.

Thoughts?

Oh, and Saturday is a MUCH better night out :P

Well, I don't know if hes going to ditch us. Just seams strange how he wont go out on the Saturday when his friends aren't going :P

I'v invited everybody apart from him and everybodys up for the Saturday, so rather he comes on the Sat or doesn't at all. I'll mention it to him, but if he still refuses then its his loss :)

haha, I haven't done anything during the day for my birthday for ages. I'd rather just save all my money for the night haha

I wasn't sure if I was just been awkward or not. But from the replies, I think everybody agrees with me :)

I can't really talk to my friends about it, they're bound to bring it up whilst they're drunk :'(
