Wow, I dont like rap but some songs on this album are amazing. Especially Going Through Changes.
Yeah, I'm not keen on rap either, but I picked this up the day it came out, it is pretty awesome, I like pretty much every song on it. The songs with Rihanna and Pink are surprisingly good aswell.

I think they ruin the songs if I'm honest.

pink is good, rihanna no. i wouldnt be able to tell that that was pink though if you played it for me and i didnt already know

I quite enjoy them, its better than having marshall trying to sing every chorus with autotune on, which at least two of them have, i can't remember which ones of my head though.
Although, I would say the lyrics in Rihanna's bit annoy me.

I like about 60% of the album.

I love the rihanna song tbh, it's going to be a massive crossover song.
I've only listened to it once through, but that and some other one stood out

His metaphor is amazing and his rap from 2.55 - 3.07 is absolutely amazing.

Really can't understand why so many people will happily listen to Eminem and then claim not to like rap. No, he doesn't sound so different from everyone else that he can be a separate genre, and no his lyrical content isn't that different either if you look around enough, so it's really just ignorance.
Personally, I can't get excited about this album. Haven't listened to it all but what I have heard doesn't make me want to, especially when there's so much stuff out there that's better both in terms of production (which I think is very weak on this album and his last) and the rapping itself. Eminem fell off years ago when Proof died, it's great that he's still going and got over it but other than for the fact that he's already a huge name and is on the list of rappers that white people think are acceptable he wouldn't be having big sales off this.

i havent listened to all of it but it kind of sounds all depressing again? i miss the old eminem from his first couple of albums but i think hes lost it a bit now. we made you showed that kind of side of him but i dont know :|

yeah, i see what you mean. i'm more of a rock/metal guy, so i dont particularly like rap, i only listen to eminem because i grew up listening to his first couple of albums, especially songs like the real slim shady and without me, and really enjoyed them. although saying that, i dont mind 50 cent either, and like snoop dog and the main rap artists, its just id rather be listening to my metallicas, and my bullet for my valentines.
of course, i agree with you on the standard of the album, he'll never match those first albums again, because of everything that hes been through, but i would say the new album is at least worth a listen.
I like the album, too many apologies are made but I like most of the album, I think Relapse was a better album though, I'v listened to recovery 60 times since I got it but and I think I'll probably get bored of it soon.
Drake's album is pretty much on par with this though and could possibly beat Recovery in terms of sales since it's already doing incredibly well
