So i believe Star Trek (2009) was one of the best films from the past decade. I decided to do some research on The next film in the franchise which would be innevitable.
I came across the following website which seems to show a scene from the next film or an oddly out of place deleted scene.

Anyone else know anything else?
And did anyone enjoy Star Trek (2009) and is looking forawrd to the next one.

The film's major cast members have signed on for two sequels.[180] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Star_Trek_%28film%29#cite_note-TrekMovie_2008-04-06-179) Roberto Orci (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roberto_Orci), Alex Kurtzman (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alex_Kurtzman) and Damon Lindelof (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Damon_Lindelof) began writing the script for a sequel in March 2009. J. J. Abrams (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/J._J._Abrams) and Bryan Burk (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bryan_Burk) will produce, although Abrams has not signed to direct.[181] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Star_Trek_%28film%29#cite_note-Variety_2009-03-30-180) When speaking on the alternate reality (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Parallel_universe_%28fiction%29)[6] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Star_Trek_%28film%29#cite_note-mtvalt1-5) set up in Star Trek, Abrams commented that it would be "ridiculous to not be open" to ideas like resurrecting William Shatner (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/William_Shatner)'s James T. Kirk (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/James_T._Kirk) or recasting Khan Noonien Singh (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Khan_Noonien_Singh). "The idea, now that we are in an independent timeline, allows us to use any of the ingredients from the past — or come up with brand-new ones — to make potential stories," he said.[7] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Star_Trek_%28film%29#cite_note-mtvalt2-6) Orci and Kurtzman explained the dilemma for the sequel was whether to pit the crew against another villain, or to have an "exploration sci-fi plot where the unknown and nature itself is somehow an adversary." On recasting Khan, Orci questioned "why take the chance?"[182] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Star_Trek_%28film%29#cite_note-TrekMovie_2009-06-20-181) Paramount is planning to release the sequel on June 29, 2012.[183] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Star_Trek_%28film%29#cite_note-ComingsoonRD-182)[184] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Star_Trek_%28film%29#cite_note-RD2-183) In an interview with the BBC, Abrams confirmed that no script for a sequel yet exists as of March 5, 2010. He also acknowledged that both cast and director have yet to be confirmed.[185] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Star_Trek_%28film%29#cite_note-184)

I wouldn't say it's one of the best movies of the decade, but it was great
I LOVED the first one :D
One of those films I can actually watch loads of times and wouldn't get bored :)
Shame the second one is so far away! :(
