View Full Version : Bath without ruining hair?
Well I'm getting my hair cut and styled on Saturday at 12pm / 12am (dinner time) and going out at about 8pm.
Since you can never style it as good as the hairdresser, it's pointless washing my hair when I go out.
So anyways, I'll still need a bath before I go, but I don't want to ruin my hair. If I get a coldish bath (not hot) my hair should be ok right? :P

Aslong as your hair doesn't get wet it should be fine :)

keep your head above the water. also, open the window too because the condensation might make your hair wet too

Move your hairdressers appointment to 4pm or something. You would be best to have a bath before you go to the hairdresser. If you cant move your appointment and still want a bath after you've been then just do what Jen said and put a plastic bag on your head.

Get up earlier and have a bath before your appointment.
I'm getting a bath before my hair appointment, but I'll want one before I go out haha.
Sadly this was the latest appointment I could get, booked 2 weeks ago too :P
Does anybody know if the coldish water works? Less heat = less steam = less chance of it making your hair fall :P

Just make sure your hair doesn't get wet even if you have a cold bath :P
Well I know that haha!
It'll be a shallow bath, so shouldn't be too hard =)

you should be alright then especially if its cold because then no condensation will get to it and make it frizzy
Putting anything on my hair would prob flatten it down a bit :(
Knowing my luck, It'll be raining or windy when I come out of the hair dressers haha

you could try putting a loose towel around your head then you could have a warm/hot bath and take an umbrella with you :')
or just put a carrier bag on your head. it wont flatten your hair because it's not heavy
if you're that bothered go down there after your bath and pay them to style it again lol

Just get in then get out 5 minutes later. 5 minutes is hardly going to ruin someone's hair.
LOL When I asked you how long it took for you to do your hair you said 10 mins, you're such a metrosexual! :D
Just put a bag over your hair or something, or a towel, only way to keep it dry... :S

Why would your hair get wet if you're in the bath? I don't have the water level high enough that I need diving apparutus.
He means the steam will make it go flat

Keep your window open and don't remove the towel/carrier bag from your head until you get out of the bathroom, cause there might still be some steam or w/e in the bathroom.

Ah your hair will be absolutely fine! Chillax :P As people have said - keep the windows open, keep your head above the water. Do those two things and nothing should go wrong.... I hope! :P

Why are you asking me
It was a general question. I was just replying to a statement that you'd made.
